Looks a good menu for today Saver-Upper. Are you saving syns or trying to rein it in at the moment? Otherwise you should try to have a few more syns.

Thankyou joedenise.I really do need to sort out what I am doing with my syns.On Saturday I checked how many syns I had had so far for my week (Monday-Sunday).Apart from being a bit like the Hungry Little Caterpillar on Saturday (29 syns ),I do seem to have very few syns during the day, then when I sit down after the kids go to bed,I still have my HEB to look forward to(lovely sweet Hifi bars),and don't seem to [STRIKE]need[/STRIKE] crave the syns. However,I don't know if that has caught up with me this week, because in total I only had 81.5 syns for the week, and only lost 1/2 pound.Still a loss, and I am pleased with it,but I didn't think I had done too much different this week(especially speed-wise) to what I normally do.It might just be that I had late-ish brunch before weigh-in at 6pm,whereas on a usual Monday,I would only be eating lightly after breakfast at 8am-ish.
Do you think being 24-ish syns under for a week could slow down my loss like that?Matbe it is time to shake up my syns habits a bit.Thank you for any advice.

    Had weigh-in tonight,and had a loss of 1/2 lb.

The thing I found interesting,is that just over a month ago,I asked my 10yo daughter to take some "before" photos of me.She took photos of me posing in a new dress, and for a couple of the photos I showed a tape measure measuring my upper arm ,and another photo measuring my waist.Today we re-took these images, and despite the fact that I am feeling slimmer (and definitely look it in the face),I had only lost 1/2 inch of my arm,and 1 inch around my waist.I tell you what, just as well I am weighing at group, otherwise, going by those mesurements,I would never have believed I had lost 9.5 lb in that time.I wonder where I have lost it from thinking.gif.It was suggested at group that I may have lost it in height .Please no-at 5ft 2",I really can't affort that :rotfl:

    Today's menu:

    Brunch: bacon,eggs,tomatoes,spinach

Tea: sloppy joe (reg and green peppers, onions, passatta, tomato puree, served with pasta and salad: carrot, tomato, beetroot, mange tout

    Snack: 2 doughnut peaches

Snack: 2 hifi bars (HEB),rice cakes (3.5 syns)

Have had most of my skimmed milk in cups of tea.

Saver Upper - my consultant always says to try and use all your syns as it gives you somewhere to cut back if you plateau. However, I don't think that because you had 24 syns under for the week would really cause the 1/2lb loss. I only used to have 1/2lb or lb loss each week getting to target. We all lose at different rates. Someone else may have eaten exactly the same as you and lose 3lb - life just isn't fair in that respect. I wouldn't worry too much about only losing 1/2lb - a loss is a loss no matter how much.

    Today's plan:

    B - porridge; strawberries
    L - corned beef salad
    D - HM chicken curry/rice

    HEA - milk
    HEB - porridge
Syns - none planned (but had more yesterday than planned so who knows!)

Back in March I went to the GP for advice on what exercise I should be doing. She asked me if I would like to try the "Exercise referral scheme".
She didn't explain it very well, but I understood it was an opportunity to join the local gym for a reduce cost under the guidance of a gym instructor.

I had my induction last night. I was weighed, measured and shown around the equipment. I was given a personalised plan for cardiovascular and resistance exercises.

The inital cost was £5 for the induction, then £2.50 each time you use the gym..... or a one off fee of £55 for the whole 12 weeks of the plan.
I can use the leisure centre as many times as I want during the 12 weeks, including swim and classes.

Here's to a fitter healther body.

    Morning all,

Apologies for the very late WI, I've been away with no internet. This week I'm down 1lb. Not as much as I would have liked esp as I have been walking miles and miles. There were a few too many off plan food choices so that will be the reason.

I seem to be struggling to get into the next stone barrier. I know if I could hit the 12s it would be a real psychological boost but I seem to be hovering just above. I will aim for a good week and maybe get there on my next WI.

i haven't caught up on the thread yet so I hope everyone is doing okay x

    LUSH,

If it's the same as the Morrisons NuMe (rebranded??), then its 1/2 a syn per level tablespoon. That's the only one I can find on the syn list.
