Evening folks
Remember I was contacted by Nationwide that I was eligible for an account upgrade?
Well, this afro I was called by the accounts advisor from my local branch with whom I had an appointment booked for Saturday morning...
The lassie was very nice and just asked how I was contacted, if by letter or e-mail and which accounts I may be interested in moving to and why.
She explained that if I was to upgrade my account it may not actually be an upgrade at all. She very honestly said that I may not qualify for an overdraft facility and that she could check my eligibility for me if that would help. I said yes that would be great, thanks. So, she checks and I wouldn't qualify for an overdraft and if i changed I would incur charges if I became overdrawn. At present the flex basic account I have doesn't incur any charges, I think she said it doesn't allow you to become overdrawn??? Anyway, she actually agreed with me when I said that I think my best option would be to stay with my flex basic and maybe consider upgrading in a few years.
Was nice to deal with an accounts advisor that seemed to want to help me make a decision that suited me rather than their institution. Big thumbs up to Nationwide for excellent service
In other news, the dug is looking at me wi the big sad eyes and waggy tail that says, "time for my last walk o the day Da".
So oot we have to go... nighty night folks

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

I've got my mortgage with Nationwide, can't fault them. That's so lovely of you to do the dog walking for the rescue centre. That would be me tempted to adopt another dog though, if it was left to me I'd have a house full of unwanted dogs and catsI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Evening Folks!
Apologies for being so quiet, busy with RL stuff at the mo...
Getting ready for Crimbo and New Year and work stuff as well.
The tree and the decs are up :xmastree::xmastree::xmastree::xmassign:
Have done my Christmas Cake and it looks smashing
The Wee Mam has said that she want's it cos it looks just perfect for her and her [STRIKE]coven[/STRIKE] pals for their wee Christmas Fayre at weekend... I cannae say naw to the wee mam
GF has suggested getting a nice one out of ALDI and decorating it ourselves, apparently their cakes are "bloody gorgeous" and done proper with brandy... so we have an idea for a quick substitute and next year I will bloomin well make two to be on the safe side lol
Mince pies will be getting done at weekend and another double batch o home brew for the New Years celebrations is also on the to-do-list
We are enjoying walking our wee kennel buddies and hopefully will get a few pics of them next weekend for folks that have been asking to see them
If only my wee lass could share me with another dug I would take one of them in a shot. However the bestie is pleading with his missus to have him... can't blame him, he's the absolute spit of one of his old pups and a cracking wee fella
The ole finances are tight but stable, budgets are being adhered to and surveys are ticking over nicely to add to the savings pot.
All good in the hood
Hope everyone is doin grand

You sound in a good place Scot, good too see not all banks are useless. I know the bank i work for does an account where you cant go overdrawn dont get any charges etc etc but its a funny account as if a direct bounces so often the company has to submit a new mandate to reinstate them.
