Scott - I've not tried Jet Black Heart but I think I have tried one of their stouts before, think it was called Engine Oil? Was a belter of a beer, so I will give JBH a try when I see it. Another Stout to keep an eye out for and try if you find it is "Dragonhead" from the Orkney Breweries, lovely beer.BUGGRITMILLENIUMHANDANDSHRIMP I TOLD EM! - Foul Ole Ron
It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Happy New Year! Glad you had a good time. Stockholm is beautiful but a bit pricey, though it can be managed if you don't go daft. I went for a weekend with a bestie before I got married and we spent the 3 days walking around and visiting museets (museums) including an incredible Viking ship. I heartily recommend it as a destination if you can get a flight/hotel deal and swing a bit of spending money.26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Just caught up with your diary, glad you had a great Christmas, I think I missed the photo of the Christmas cake.
Engine Oil is a lovely beer, reminds me a little bit of Hobgoblin but a bit of a twist to it.0 -
Evening folks
It's very, very tight here in Uncanny Castle... not a lot left in the coffers but must stretch it out til pay day. All bills are paid and there's enough grub etc to last til then, so should manage to squeeze thru
Apologies for being so quiet, been busy with work and stuff and I'm working on setting up a computer system for a dear friendwhenever I get a spare minute or 15... as I wanna make sure it is just right for them
I've been getting a fair few hikes in over the past few weeks and it's really helping me keep my fitness up, also great for the wee furry yin too. She is doing so well at walking / hiking off lead and is being really good with her recall and listening to what she is being told. She is also improving her social skills and is doing so much better with other dogs now. She has always been good with other people and little ones and on our last walk made friends with a wee lad (6) that was on his first hike with his Dad and she trotted along right beside him for almost an hour as we shared part of our route with them and she got a BIG hug off him for being a good girl
Planning on doing some more long distance hikes and wild camps with the squad of vets and serving lads that me n my bestie knock about with. We are already all talking about doing something like the Coast to Coast, Cape Wrath Trail, Southern Upland Way or West Highland Way. Depends on what we can all manage to fit around holidays and leave etc.
Hope everyone is doing grand
Keep on keeping on

Ach burger it...
The car needs work done... nasty grinding sound from front offside wheel. Got it checked over this morning and it looks like it needs a wheel bearing and a new tyre... so far
Will have to keep her off the road until I can afford to get it done, as what savings I have are allocated to other things atm.
So, it's back to cycling and walking everywhere in the meantime and what I save not spending on fuel goes towards the repairs, which I'm estimating at around £200 plus
May have to ask my boss if I can bring the wee furry in to work with me, as I don't like the idea of her being on her own for too long...
Due to the car issues we had to stick to close to home hikes over the weekend and we had a grand but very wet day oot n aboot on the local hills yesterday followed by a nice pub lunch in our local 'poons.
We had to leave the wee furry ones at home, after getting ourselves dried off and changed. VERY disappointed that 'poons no longer allow dogs in the outside seating / tables areas of their pubs. We e-mailed a complaint in to 'poons about this.
Hope everyone is doing grand
