    It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

    Morning all :D

    I am trying to establish, build and maintain an Emergency Fund of at least £5k over the next couple of years... I know it won't be easy and means squeezing more out of an already small budget.

    Currently anything surplus is going towards savings and the EF. Whatever is left over from allocated budgets, anything from surveys etc. The amounts put away each month can vary between ££'s to £££'s.

    I am just putting it into the journal here to try and get some ideas from you good folks of anything else that I could look into to help build this up.

    Hope everyone has a good one today

    Morning folks :D

    Been taking stock of where I am and where I would like to be financially in a few years...
    I NEED to keep saving and obviously will continue to be as frugal as possible.

    Positives are;
    that I am much more mindful these days of where every penny goes
    I always run through the money mantra when shopping for things

    I would just like to be able to put enough away in savings and the EF and be able to build on and maintain them in order to have some security there... IYKWIM

    If I keep on track I know that it is achievable and I need to keep reminding myself that this is a long term commitment and will not been done overnight.

    Anyhoo, must get back to work...
    Have a grand day folks and if anyone has any helpful insights on this, please, chip in ;)
