Gosh!
I didn't realize that the MSE Forum was actually removing words and replacing them with exclamation marks!
B0110ks, or something similar, is automatically moderated to "!!!!!!!!"...

Well, my old Powershop tariff is coming to an end next month and I get a renewal email from EON.
I am still laughing at how hopelessly uncompetitive the offering is - were I to take the cheapest competitor here (Symbio) their offering is £450.54 cheaper. Even offerings from the likes of SSE are hundreds of pounds cheaper.
It's almost as if EON do not want ex Powershop customers.
For amusement, this is the current tariff (Top Shopper Fix 2020 Issue 1)...
And this is the cheapest renewal offering from EON...
Bye Bye EON!

Not bad that’s a mere 54.5% increase0

They have really "Lost the Plot" haven't they!0 -
Sadly I've heard nothing from Powershop NZ so I don't hold out much hope of Powershop returning in the UK any time soon unfortunately

30.45p per day standing charge !!!! That must be some kind of record surely. Hideous0
-
Yes, surely there can't be many Powershop Pro (switched on) customers that would stand for that. Powershop Lite customers may not know or care how bad that is though. I wonder if EON holds the right in the UK to use or not use the Powershop brand or if the right reverts back to Powershop NZ if not used for a period of time in the UK?

Spoke too soon about 30.45p being a record standing charge . Lowest u switch for gas for me today was ampower. A whopping £119.79 more expensive than my current green deal. Look at the standing charge cost0
-
Even zog seem to be upping their standing charge0
-
You have to keep in mind that (unless you are a very low user) the daily standing charge is only a minor contribution to the annual cost of the energy (electric or gas.) i.e. don't let a high daily standing charge put you off a tariff if the annual figure is attractive.
