Emm yes after looking a bit more closely sounds like a company about to fold.. This is not good over 500 a year hike is crazy makes for a projection of over £2000 a year bill and likely more if we get a cold winter

I'm shocked symbio still exist but they somehow carry on. If you do join them make sure you go on a fixed direct debit. If you go variable they take way more then you use and knock it off next bill before charging you far too much on the next bill ad infinitum. And contacting them is a pain. Best avoided . 12 months was too long for me lol

I opted for a short term variable for now. Duel fuel. Seemed to be the only way to get a reasonable price. Even zog are expensive for gas now . On my usage of 14735 kWh for gas the cheapest split fuel for gas alone is zog and that's 84.15 dearer for me then my duel fuel deal with green. Until this year I always had separate suppliers

I eventually left for the nightmare that is symbio (I wouldn't recommend them at all). 12 months later I ditched symbio for green

I'm with green now - I joined on the 17th April on the green Lamont tariff for electricity with E7. Did you take part in green monday?

Incidentally, I sent the following message to the Powershop headquarters in NZ.

Hi, can you forward this message to someone senior in the company please? I was a customer of Powershop UK from early 2017 (shortly after you set up in the UK.) As you will be aware, because Npower has been taken over by EON, the Powershop brand and unique method of buying power has disappeared from the UK.  My understanding was that Powershop was 'hosted' by Npower under their supply licence. Powershop was thought of very highly by customers who understood the proposition and I wonder if you have any plans to re-launch Powershop in the UK with a different hosting partner? If you did decide to re-launch, I'm pretty certain there would be a good number of former customers who would be only too happy to return. Please get back to me with your thoughts and let me know if you would be happy for me to let other former customers know your intentions

  • And now for something completely, utterly !!!!!!.....

    "Hi Mick

    Account XXXXXXXXX

Thank you for getting in touch with us regarding your refund the recent changes made to your Powershop Pro account.

As per the email we sent you on 14 January 2021, PS Energy UK Ltd, which includes Powershop, is now part of the E.ON group which means, in time, all Powershop customers will be supplied by E.ON Next. Unfortunately, E.ON Next will not be able to support the unique way you have been paying for your energy (though the purchase of powerpacks) so we have had to move you to fixed-rate tariff on Powershop Lite.

The fixed-rate that you are now being charged at is the “Top Shopper” element of your Powershop Pro tariff which is the cheapest price that would have been achievable if, like yourself, you purchase all the powerpacks that become available. This means that you will now automatically receive the full discount in your future bills rather than your powerpacks being applied against your “Baseline” rate which ultimately gave you the same discount. This is why the surplus powerpacks on your account were refunded at the cost you paid for them otherwise you would effectively be getting further discount off the maximum discount you will automatically receive.

The changes to Powershop Lite were made to your account on 22-Apr-2021, but backdated to the day after your last Powershop Pro bill on 20-Apr-2021. Your active powerpacks at the time were applied against this bill meaning that you have continually been getting the best price available.

For your reference, your Top Shopper tariff will come to an end on 9-Sep-2021 and you will also receive this price with E.ON Next until the end of your current term, at which point they will be in contact to let you know your options.

We are disappointed that we are no longer able to offer you the same unique way you have been able to pay for your energy for the last few years, but I hope this alleviates your concerns as to whether you are still getting the same price for your energy.

Please be advised that your supply has now migrated over to E.ON Next and, as a result, your complaint has been provided to Eon Next as well. We will be providing additional information regarding your complaint to E.ON Next to ensure that your complaint is addressed in full.

Further to your request to supply a copy of all communications we have received from you through the 'Contact Us' messaging system; I have attached a copy containing the communications themselves and the dates that they were received in our system.

If you have any further questions, please contact E.ON Next directly using unhappy@eonnext.com.

    Kind regards,

    Jack

    Customer Relations Lead

    Thanks

    Totally and utter !!!!!!!
