I got through to the Powershop team earlier today after a long queue. "It's too soon to know" whether Eon will keep the packs system BUT most of the Powershop team are going to be made redundant.

One reason I rejoined Powershop was the 1st class customer service I’d received previously. So I think Eon are making a big mistake making any of them redundant or getting rid of the PS online system and app information which are second to none.Hostage said:I got through to the Powershop team earlier today after a long queue. I'm gutted that's the second half decent electric company that I've had this happen with. I'm e10 and a high user in ne Scotland.. We are hit with high tariffs and it is already a mission to find suppliers that will take e10 let alone at an affordable price.. I had only one company I forget name of right now last few times I checked that came close to powershop price wise.. Although bulb was also bit better last year.. I hope eon can keep this set up, and competitive pricing. Many moons ago they had some fantastic tariffs for my area. And last I looked they not the worst for e10 for my area just they don't take on new customers so I will wait it out I guess. Don't like having so much credit sat now.. Say buy as normal but being in credit was a nightmare when trying get back what I was owed last time I was in this situation with my previous supplier who was taken over and absorbed.. Exotic tariffs need sorted so we have more options especially more modern heating systems that utilise them are used. A single rate meter wouldn't work for me I do also compare that option yearly. Sorry for the ramble just gutted about it and it hassle I don't need loltlcgrantham said:

Dear fellow PS Customers,
A couple of points for you to consider:
1. Following the recent case of being lied to about "Am I on the cheapest Tariff" I now check the available tariffs from PS on a monthly basis.
Today (15/12/20) the PS Website page that gives you a quote has stopped giving quotes, claiming that "The information you have provided is not sufficient for is to provide a quote"....?
Very strange!
2. In checking the market, a "New Supplier" has arrived. Simbio.
They are quoting:
- Variable 12 month contact, no exit fee, £0.12539 pkWh/ £0.215 per day Monthly DD
- Fixed 12 month contact, £30 exit fee, £0.12630 pkWh/ £0.215 per day Monthly DD
My current PS Tariff is
PS Elec 2020 V2 at £0.1268 p£0.2252 p/day
On my 12,000 kWh per year, that's a saving of £20.64 on the Variable or £9.62 on the Fixed 12m Contract
- looks like the market is hotting up!
Seasons greetings!
