Powershop now part of E-on Next but They’re not taking on new customers. Email just received says “for now tariffs remains same”. Not very reassuring0

Oh well, that's the end of Powershop by the looks of things.
I see you are redirected to E-on for new quotes now - https://www.powershop.co.uk/energy-plans-single-box/ - and using that in my case E-on are woefully uncompetitive compared to the current Powershop contract and the competition.
Going by Which? Switch Energy, Shell Energy is surprisingly the cheapest, £95 cheaper than the E-on quote but still more expensive than the current Powershop contract.
Now to decide if I get a refund for some of the lowest discounted packs as companies switching systems and large credits with them are a recipe for trouble.

Probably why the forthcoming rates are as low as 14%!
There is no EXIT FEE to leave PS.
Run a supplier comparison (do it for Gas also) as the market is currently "fluid" in terms of offers!0 -
I've bought ahead until August next year. Do you think they'll honour my purchases?

It depends if EON intend to keep the Powershop brand and way of buying power credit alive. If the software to 'run' Powershop resides on npower's computers and if EON intends to migrate it over to their servers the Powershop model may continue but, given they have talked about the efficiency benefits of handling customers on just one system, I suspect not. Why not contact EON to ask what their intentions are? I suspect they will simply migrate PS (and npower) customers onto their existing tariffs but who knows?
I suspect they will refund your credit at the original purchase price NOT the enhanced value created by the discounted Powerpacks.
