Looks like I’ll be submitting on two of the opportunities today. One due in at 12, one at 3. Yesterday I did minimal work but did some handwashing to dry flat outside, got laundry done, cleaned the large oven and got all the ironing cleared up. Two items are also enroute to the charity shop.

Nice to get all those household jobs done and be able to dry things outside. The weekend weather was lovely, wasn't it?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Well, out of three potential submissions, one didn’t go in and I know that I messed one up. It is what it is. Mr wii advised of a one pound reduction so that brings me back to the sig weight that I hadn’t updated last week. Maybe I’m just more efficient than I know - not.
yesterday was a day of rugby and that’s pretty much me until next year. I now really need to knuckle down to finishing jobs by month end. Still no sign of my tax refund which is so annoying. On other news, two vouchers cashed out from sb were used to purchase dh’s grain free granola and the freezer contents are continuing to reduce. That may, in part, be due to an absence of whoopsied items.I met up with two friends over the past week. One I hadn’t seen since pre covid. We used to meet regularly. I’m not sure it’ll go back to that but at least there won’t be awkwardness if we bump into each other. The other, with whom I ostensibly have less in common with, was just like picking up an ongoing conversation.
on other non news, I haven’t heard anything more from the builder but am ok with that as he works in stages and finishes each stage so you aren’t living in a building site.Today I am grateful for

Mr wii groaned a bit but the increase was small enough not to nudge me up a pound. I’ll take that. Yesterday I settled down to clear some work stuff and even did a few invoices. Not massive ones but ones that clients want pre month end.Today another outstanding job needs to be despatched. Tomorrow I need to be in Dublin by 9. I’m not looking forward to an early start particularly since I have an evening meeting back in Belfast. Matchsticks may need to be deployed.Tuesday I have a lunchtime networking event and haven’t a clue what to wear as my go to dress needs a visit to the dry cleaners.Apart from that, this week will just be a mad rush to clear all the year end bits and pieces. Oh and to go out for a birthday dinner on Thursday. Now for the excitement. Last Thursday I had a win on the free postcode lottery. I thought it was just a tenner but it actually included a click based bonus of £102. I struggled to believe that I’d won and even had dh repeat our postcode to me. Brought back memories of Ali OK whose daily routine signposted me to this. Yet another win for this forum.
dh is back on a fairly strict low carb eating plan so things are creeping out of the freezer. This is good as I’m determined to use up contents. That said, tomorrow I will stop at Aldi on my way home from Dublin so some purchases may be freezer bound. I’m not sure if it’s a regional thing but I find meat purchases from Aldi to be really good quality. It’s just a pity there are none in the north.
now I can see an end in sight for the work backlog, I need to stick with it. Today I am grateful for
the advice here that generated a cash win for me

Brilliant news on the progress with the work backlog! And congrats on that PB win.
For the work dress, possibly:- air it in the sunshine, if you have some
- spot clean with a damp sponge, give a good shake and put on a hangar to air (surprisingly rejuvenating as the fibres have the chance to air and regain their shape)
- clothes brush and air
- spray with fabric freshener or better still, vodka though try on an inside seam first to ensure it's okay for that fabric... and air. Great believer in airing things, me.
