The new bedding must be especially tempting when the weather's so horrendous. We are due a thaw here today, so I hope you get the same.

Completing the sale of your mum's house is a milestone, but it's nice to think it will help support you when you retire.

Pleased the house sale  has gone through ok. Must be mixed emotions for you. Good to hear it’ll be helping you into retirement 👍
Also very happy to hear the pots were the only storm casualty. It has rained non stop here but it hasn’t been as windy as they forecast yet…..I’m hoping it stays that way.

  • Well, that’s been a week playing catch up with last week’s cancelled visits.  Today I will be at home and dh has taken a day’s leave to assist with structuring my work.  We will also be attempting to contact someone to see if the wind battered garage door can be rehung or if it will need to be replaced.  Other than that, we escaped the storms unscathed despite me clocking up close to 400 miles this week.  DD also managed a completely on time return from oz on Monday evening while it appears that every other flight was disrupted.

I have drawn a line under last year’s disposals though have yet to do the final tally.  That’ll be a job for this weekend but I don’t think I’ll have hit 2023.  The charity shop I use had an appeal for adult sweatshirts and jumpers so I’ve identified 2 to go this weekend and will start progress toward 2024.

On other news, it looks like I will be flat out from now to end of March with my invoicing already behind.  The work is no use if I forget to ask for payment.  Systems need to be established this weekend. Right, need to get things underway.

    today I am grateful for
    minimal storm damage
    safe travels
limiting the takeaways to DD’s first night home

Good to hear your daughter arrived home safe and sound! It's a shame about the garage door, though I suppose if you have to get a new one, it should have a good few years in it.

Whether you reach 2023 disposals or not, anything approaching that is a huge number, so be proud of yourself. Imagine if you could spread all those out to count, how big it would look!

As for the invoices, perhaps you need to take on an apprentice to do the legwork there? :) You are a victim of your own success. :)

    Glad DD got back ok.

Anything you got rid of is progress :)

Good news about being busy.  Hope you get the invoicing sorted.
