Hope you are feeling better now xx"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

Hope you feel better soon. An experience I bet you don’t ever want to repeat.

Goodness, that's awful, poor you. I remember the same happened to a family member, which was a reaction to codeine. I hope you're feeling better now and can get some restorative time out.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Thanks everyone. Apart from recurring flashes of shame, I have been perfectly fine.Yesterday I didn’t hear back from my gp so at 3.45 I called the surgery. They had been calling the wrong number and, based solely on a telephone consultation, issued a prescription for the little lump at my eye. Seriously they don’t even do video or accept photos. Still, treatment has started and I nipped to Iceland while picking up prescription and benefited from some reductions.
apart from that, little was done other than clearing out the real fire and replacing the ash tray with one of a better size. Still, it means the only thing left to do in that room is dusting and hoovering.
this morning dh and I had a conversation about his relative’s progressive illness that he has been ignoring. Lots to be resolved but at least the discussion has started.
today I am grateful for
a chatty email from dd who appears to be loving life having caught up with friends, done a food tour and a penguin boat trip

Our gp hasn’t recommenced seeing patients since covid nor do they do video calls. I keep meaning to change but have been there since birth. Yesterday, dh had an upset tummy so it looks like a bug is circulating. Luckily for him, he was at home all day.I managed to get a few more things out of the house including two pieces of furniture and two items from the garage. Not brilliant numbers wise but good for freeing space. This will help with accessing stuff in the garage.Plans for today are a charity shop run, some prep for tomorrow’s Dublin job, recycling, moving things in the garage, ironing and reinstating my weekly coffee shop visit to meet a friend.I have already spoken to mr wii and he has advised of a 2lb weightloss though the number was just down by one. I am surprised and relieved by the loss.
right, lots to get done. Today I am grateful for

That's disappointing of your GP, and I'm fairly sure it is against HMC guidance. Maybe you could check with your local Integrated Care Board (ICB)?2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I live in NI which despite being part of the UK, sits outside the NHS and falls instead within HSC - health and social care. We are periodically examined by panorama who consistently report waiting times that would not be tolerated in GB. That coupled with our absentee politicians means nothing gets done and service providers know this.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes.
