There has been a marked decline in GP services since Covid. It’s really frustrating they’re still using it as an excuse for shoddy service 😡 My DH has lots of serious health problems and can only ever get a phone consultation. Not good enough these GPs are paid a LOT of money for their poor service 🤬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

That's terrible about the GP. I'm quite lucky with ours. Often a phone consult first, but we can send photos and can also get an in person visit if needed.

Well done on the weightloss.I am also very lucky with my GP on the whole- you might need to wait if you want a part doctor but can get to see one now. It’s an awful gridlock situation where you are….how can a country work without a proper government 🤷🏻♀️Hope your Dh gets better soon.January spends - £587.583

DH bounced back quickly milann, it seems to have been a bug that hit us both but thankfully on different days. Yesterday I set off bright and early to head to Dublin, got 50 miles into my journey and realised what a nightmare getting home in the dark could be so cancelled the trip. The client was understanding. I then came home via a few shops while dropping off a parcel at the post office. We now have provisions to cover us through to next week while giving dh some variety in his low carb eating.Today I have 2 meetings each requiring separate laptops. My only work trousers aren’t ready for wearing so I’m going to break my rules and wear black jeans as I need flat boots to walk safely. I stumbled across an invitation to tender for a locally based three year assignment. It’s one to follow up. Right, today needs to get underway.

Well, first Tuesday meeting was converted to teams. Second went ahead but only one laptop was needed. While it was only 15 miles from home, there was neither frost nor ice. Wednesday I set off for my client but had to turn back with just 6 miles to go. My car was literally sliding backwards. Yesterday I tried again though was picked up at the motorway exit by the client in a 4x4. I only did a short day as I wanted to be home before dark especially as the road gritters are on strike here for a week. There’s a thaw predicted for tomorrow. I’m really hoping it comes. On other news, it looks like everything is finalised with the sale of my mum’s house. I’m most likely going to put half my share of the proceeds into my pension while dividing the other half between my two. As it’s a seven way split, it’s not a massive amount but enough to kickstart a nest egg for both.Last night, I cracked open some new bedding bought over a year ago and made up the bed. I also disposed off 2 full incredibly worn sets and one item that had been unused but walked around for more than a year. This was prompted by two things. One was not buying a reduced duvet set as I already had two new ones that I had no idea why I wasn’t using. The second was a feeling of general fed upishness. Really? What’s the point of it all if not to make our lives more comfortable. It was lovely wakening up in nice new bed linen.
today I need to knuckle down to work even though my lovely bed keeps calling.

Oh I love new bedding, and good that you upgraded without expenditure. Re the inheritance, maybe your offspring could put their shares into pensions too? My sons recently benefited from their late grandfather's will, and both have put a lump sum into their pension pots.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
