Thanks everyone. Things are still not being tackled but yesterday I did the warts and all list, cleared two easy but time bounded items while dh last night finished off something I’d started previously.Today I’m determined to get things moving and have a call pre booked for this afternoon. On other news, I have been invited to contact my gp surgery to get flu and covid vaccines. This will be my 5th covid jab! Still, so far, I’ve escaped it despite others around me getting it. That call also needs to go on my list.
this evening we need to round up the various bits of extra cash and purchase additional pbs. I never trust technology sufficiently to leave it to the final day. We should also check our spends account and see if we can pay next month’s big bill’s contribution pre payday.Am determined to get to my desk pre nine o’clock so best rattle on. Today I am grateful for

One thing went to a client, one invoice was issued and one form submitted that will allow for the issue of an invoice once processed. The pb still need to be tackled which will be tonight’s job. Inroads are also being made. Dinner last night was an Asda build your own pizza and there’s another to be frozen as they were £5 each or two for £8.We also measured up ds’s bedroom and furniture to see where things might go. DD gets home at 8.30 on Monday morning but has assured me of her ability to sleep on a sofa if needs be.DH gets paid today so we can definitely do the bills transfer to pb. Apparently our electric costs are reducing by 7% so that’ll be extra for the pb pot each month, while it lasts. It amazes me that it’s falling due to reduced wholesale gas prices but our gas costs aren’t reducing.Tomorrow should be the first talking therapies session. I’m starting to get nervous but am combining it with dropping off stuff at the nearby charity shop and the recycling centre.Today I am grateful for

I hope it goes okay today and you don't get delayed again.
Nice to have a reduction in electricity costs though I agree with you, gas price reductions need to be passed on to the consumer.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Oh no - not cancelled again? That's rubbish.
Perhaps send them an invoice for the time you had set aside...I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

It was with 2 hours to go plus they’ve advised that one of the later days has to be rescheduled. They were completely unaware that the first appointment had been cancelled or that I hadn’t started yet. I hate that people don’t do their homework. They have since offered an alternative solution starting next week with dates for all 6 sessions at an across town location. I’ve had to say no as I have work scheduled. I’m really not happy with the set up and am thinking about contacting the health board who have outsourced this. It’s taken from May for me to be given an appointment but as soon as a complaint looks imminent, a slot can be found next week.
on other news, I got my covid and flu jabs on Thursday afternoon. I’ve felt a wee bit ropey but paracetamol are being taken. The bed has been assembled in ds’s room freeing up space in DD’s room giving access to her bed. One work task has been completed, albeit from the laptop perched on top of the bed. I still need to drop stuff to recycling and to charity shop. Thanks to dh, we avoided a takeaway last night which was good. It seems we are either doing top up shops or takeaways despite a freezer full of food. Meal planning is definitely needed. With dd home next week, a large pot of stew will be made. DH is trying to avoid carbs and it’s not something I’d make just for me and, while I think it can taste better on days 2 or 3, I don’t think it freezes well. It is probably my favourite winter meal. And the really exciting news is that we are going to view a house on Monday evening. I just happened across the listing and showed it to dh who agreed that it’s worth a look. If we sold this not market ready house, we would still be mortgage free and running costs should be lower. Also, in the absence of Stacey Solomon, I can’t see any other way to manage a significant clutter reduction. This house overwhelms me and dh, bless him, doesn’t get it. To the extent that he thought it would be ok to leave excess furniture from ds’s bedroom sitting in the middle of the sitting room until he returns at Christmas. I will have been driven mad by then.On Thursday evening we transferred last month’s extras along with next month’s bill payments to the pb account. We are more than an eighth of the way to the target. The next figure to aim for would be 15% but that will be a stretch but possibly for year end.Right, work needed on a bedroom, on work and on getting things out of the house before DD’s return.
today I am grateful for
