Lovely to hear from you again.  The counselling sounds unhelpful

Hope you enjoy the dance lessons!  Well done on not hiding yourself away.

That is so unacceptable about the counselling.

  • Yesterday I got two pieces of work moved on and dinner was from freezer / fridge.  We did our pre month end pb purchase so are now at 14%.  There was an additional £75 invested over and above extra money and big bill provision but hopefully it won’t make too much of a stretch. It is also going to hopefully deter the take away habit.

DD stormed in home in a foul mood due to public transport issues resulting in her missing a gym class.  I listened for a few minutes and then advised that none of this was my fault. She then left the room and huffed.  I’m fed up with the kidulting.

im still unsure what to do re the counselling.  Yesterday there were 2 phone calls, a voicemail and an email.  They just assume that people have no other commitments. It’s infuriating and also quite intense.  I think I’m going to take the 3 new sessions offered.  Who knows, maybe something will click.

Today is dh’s office day which is coinciding with dd having an early meeting.  I think the roads should be ok to where we need to go but the rain has been wild and the trees are now close to leafless.  I’ll be clearing the windscreen before driving off.

    Today I am grateful for
family all remaining safe despite the weather

Yes take care in the horrendous weather.
I think you’ve made the right decision re the counselling. If you don’t take it on you’ll never know if will do any good.

  • Well, I emailed and accepted the three remaining sessions. I also asked about their complaints process.  I was sent a scrappy extract from some other document, quite possibly the tender that won them the work, and an offer of all six sessions with the new counsellor.  Why do people need to make it so difficult?

yesterday I hit m&s after the work drop off and struck it lucky with whoopsied items. Some have been used, some are earmarked for today and some have already found a home in the freezer.  I also visited the bakery and spent as much on Halloween treats that were then distributed to the wider family.  I also did some Halloween baking which was weird.  This was normally done for my mum with the dog at my feet watching for any falls that might have happened.  I’m not sure what I’ll be doing with the items produced as there’s little room in the freezer.

Today I have a ten o’clock meeting and another at half one. Need to at least brush my hair!

    today I am grateful for
continuing to escape the worst of the weather
    the counselling issue getting resolved
a good outcome on an invoice query

Pleased the counselling is being resolved. It surprising the the wheels often move after the word complaint has been mentioned…..it shouldn’t have to get to that stage.
The Halloween baking sounds delicious. I bought some kids sweets but nobody called so guess who’ll end up eating them 😵‍💫I do quite like kids sweets though.

You continue making progress :) it does sound as though the counselling place overextended themselves, and the sound of a possible complaint might be just what they need to be realistic.

Hallowe'en baking... give some to family or friends or a neighbour? You've kept up the tradition so far, so perhaps find a new end point for some of it? I love baking... but now have to make the Christmas cake (no one but me is making me make it), and can I get down to it? I've done loads of laundry instead.
