Well done on the PB win. Hope you get the tickets."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

I hope the remembrance service was helpful. Nice to hear about the win - I don't think I've ever come across anyone winning as often as you do! And I hope you get the tickets, too.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

So, tickets were purchased. I had a choice between standard and golden circle and the difference was £10 so I went with golden circle. Fewer people trying to access the toilets makes it a justifiable expense.
cherry, there’s only been one month in the past year when I haven’t won something though there have been some £25. Winnings this month will go to pot 2 (dh’s pot) to help with the January gas bill as it and April are particularly high and I’m refusing to work from home in the cold.Yesterday I got a small invoice issued and today I have an interview for a small 3 year assignment that I’ve delivered before but can do a second term. I’m pretty nervous about it as I have previously dealt with those on the panel so feel a bit more pressure. Positive vibes at 11 please. It’s not a big earner but it’s guaranteed which is great.
the remembrance thing was what it was. I’d made a mistake on the time, identified in advance, but it meant it clashed with DD’s gym class so DH came along with me. Accordingly last night was a takeaway night as no one was at home to do dinner. I’m completely fine with that given the circumstances. It’s Gett out of the cba attitude and getting a delivery that’s needed. Also, we went for DH’s favourite fast food as a thank you to him.I really need to get motoring and sort out what to wear, what bag etc.

I hope all goes smoothly at eleven! If they already know you and they're wanting you at interview, (and vice versa) you must be in with a chance.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Thanks everyone. Interview went well but as soon as I left the room, I remembered a key point I should have made. Second meeting of the day also went well and my first ever vat return has been submitted. Just now need to pay the bill.DD headed off on a 10 day work assignment and we went to our first of four dance classes. I’ve discovered that I am down one of my meds and the chemist isn’t open until Monday so I’m not sure if it was prescribed as I still have no sight of prescriptions. I really need to sort out gp arrangements that work.Today and tomorrow I am going to work on one particular job while dh is available to assist. I really want it done and dusted by Monday. Apart from that, I’d like a run to the dump and to the charity shop as my decluttering has virtually ground to a halt.
today I am grateful for
