Great price on the break inod. Well done!👍
I found that I tended to work longer at my desk when WFH. Less distractions I think. Didn't do my lower back any good though! Retirement came at the right time!😀Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Well, the mini break was good. The breakfast was a slight disappointment but only by comparison to the dinner where both the food and the service were outstanding. The free bottle of red is safely home and will probably contribute to DD’s large pot of mulled wine around Christmas. Unfortunately I lost a filling from my second to front tooth. I contacted my dentist but it turns out that she’s on holiday for 2 weeks. I was going to wait but having had a disturbed night worrying about a weakening tooth, I’ve an emergency appointment at 12.45 today. I’m due to deliver training at 2 but happily it’s somewhere quite close. I’ll feel more confident if I haven’t to worry about a gap.
cherry, I’m 56 and dh is 57 but annoyingly looks a lot younger. According to one friend, the only plus is that it looks like I can pull a toyboy. Now that both my two are fairly financially settled, we have more visibility of what retirement could look like. While i had a 14 year civil service pension, I then had several years (more than 10) where no pension contributions were made. Single parent years running up and tackling debt followed by the initial self employment years. I’m now mortgage and debt free and like living that way. We are also able to sustain living in what was my children’s family home despite it being too large for our day to day needs. The plus side is the location suits, there are enough rooms to manage separate working from home and until the offspring settle somewhere more permanently, it gives them a base and free of charge storage space. That said, I wouldn’t totally rule out a move to a dream home should one appear. It’d have to be a warm house though!
right, am going to footer with stuff for the next few hours. I’m petrified of the dentist and especially an unfamiliar one. I will either get lots of wee housey things done or absolutely nothing.

Afterthought - mr wii conversation showed no update. We transferred our big bill amount to pb in advance of the bank holiday although strictly speaking it’s from September income. We also had some wee odds and sods rounded up so an extra 1.1% in addition to hitting our 10% target for august. Next target is 15% by year end though there will be a quarterly gas bill. Still, if we get some wins, it might be doable

So dentist went well. Small bit of decay where filling had attached so I wore my big girl pants and they were able to tackle without anaesthesia. That meant, I was able to deliver the afternoon training without worrying about drool. This is always a bonus. Also, like I said, it’s an nhs dentist so total cost was £20.70.Training went well though only a few in attendance. I then got some potentially bad news about a relative. It has kinda derailed me.Still, spent yesterday doing nothing. Just now need to get on with it. Today I will be one of those sad people looking at pb win locations before checking my account first thing tomorrow. Have an online meeting at ten so need to get motoring.

Glad the dentist and training went well. Sorry about the relative.
I'm also hoping for a PB win this month!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3
