Don't forget, INOD, that pension contributions reduce your tax bill. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?2

Satchmo, I keep an eye on balancing my tax bill with what I can afford to pay to my pension. I’m fortunate in that quite a few clients want payments out to me before the end of March which means I can get money to pension before end of tax year.Yesterday the write ups progressed. Not as quickly as expected but that was, in part, due to me deciding that further analysis would add weight to my viewpoint so that’s what I did. I also went to the other client, agreed some action points and cleared them.I got my haircut and took the opportunity to also get my back dekinked. We are no further forward on the holiday as I identified an alternative package which I think is better. That said, I’m not convinced that dh wants to go and it’s too much to spend for him not to be happy with it. When he pointed out that I had previously travelled to places to suit him, it did not give a warm glow.
right, today is dh’s office day and I intend to get so much done! On good news, we calculated the pb pot last night. We will be £25 above our target when we make our payment with the possibility of there being another £25 cash out in month.First meeting today is at ten but on line so need to get back from dropping dh off by then.Today I am grateful for

Glad things are all progressing ok. Your PB pots inspired me to top up mine today when I figured I had enough spare."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Caught up with you inod!👍
Great to hear that things are progressing nicely. Re the pension I hear good things on Vanguard though sorry to read of your troubles with SW. I'm thinking of transferring my DCB pension to Vanguard from Aviva but need to do some homework first. The Pensions board is a great source of info and help I've found.Hope you manage to get your holiday sorted to everyone's liking!😀Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

So, I’m still wrestling with the write ups. I did feedback yesterday with what is possibly the most defensive person in the world. Still, the end is in sight, for these two assignments anyway. Next one kicks off on Monday with this client.I met with another possible client yesterday and I’ve been given a small job to be delivered in the next month. This is good as my pi insurance will need to be paid.On other news, I have been completely wiped out. At end of June blood test, I was told b12 and folate levels were in range and to stop the supplements. I’m wondering if that’s a problem but my gp refuses to test any more often than every three months.Managed to persuade dh to buy pb with accrued money. We have just crept past our ten percent so target achieved. Plus yesterday we identified another £75. £25 cash out from his inbox £s, plus when I went to buy the now in stock gift, the merchant had a system issue and would only accept PayPal. This is the account I stash pa and sb cash outs so I can make present purchases not from a joint account. The £50 used from this has been saved from general funds so will be used to purchase the next batch of pbs, probably just pre month end. Need to update my sig yay.
today I’d love to get two things off my desk so need to knuckle down.

Thank you. Another opportunity presented itself yesterday which is good. It’ll be a quick turnaround job that dh can help with. This will be good for the pennies. It also shares a site with an existing client so will keep visibility.Progress was made yesterday but I’m still nowhere close to where I need to be. A big push is needed today. I also need to get prep done for next Tuesday which will be a long on site day with a 70 mile trip each way.On other news, I found some metaphorical cash down the back of the sofa. While not working when I should have been, I had a look at my budget and discovered my budgeted electric was higher than the current direct debit so the difference needs to go to the pb pot being used to save for big bills. It’s not a massive amount but if it isn’t set aside, it just gets absorbed.Really need to get motoring and actually apply myself to work. Today I am grateful for
a work referral
