Good idea to focus work into 3 days rather than spreading it out.
That's a great result on getting over £200 for PBs from vouchers and decluttering. Hope you manage to get that last £12"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -
Well, we are adding in more than the additional £12 (though I would still like to aim for it). Last year Martin posted about a wealthify offer that we both took advantage of. It was a £50 cash back if you invested £50 and left it for a year. I can confirm that dh’s has paid out while mine is due shortly. We then intend to close both accounts to add to premium bonds as over the year, we are each down by just under a pound. I’d sooner have a safe gamble on becoming a millionaire. I’d love to hit our 10% target by the end of august but that will depend upon what this quarter’s gas bill will be plus if the august pb draw is generous.
yesterday was a no spend day and three pieces of work were moved on. Today I may have a client meeting but that has yet to be confirmed. Ideally I’d like a piece of work finished up by the weekend but I’ve 2 meetings tomorrow so it might be a push.

My £50 hit the account yesterday so a healthy amount of pbs will be purchased next week. Thursday’s meeting didn’t happen but I had two yesterday. Apart from those, little was done. Thursday dh treated us to a Chinese which was also last night’s dinner. A few more bits were decluttered. I now have three empty drawers spread around downstairs. I’d like to give each a purpose but am not sure what yet. I really don’t want them to become generalised dumping grounds.
today I had agreed to get a friend from the airport but she contacted last night to say it’ll be tea time this evening due to delays. I also have a call scheduled for 11. Apart from that, despite my good intentions, I need to spend some time catching up with work and grabbing some bread and milk for my friend.Apologies for the boring entry but I’m trying to get back to regular posting.

Your post isn't boring. I like reading about people's day to day lives, it's often inspiring.

Thanks for the comments and encouragement-life just seems mundane and kinds drifty. I’ve too many things part done that I’m not sure how it finish. This applies equally to home and work. In fact, dh is currently looking at a job and dealing with client feedback as a fresh pair of eyes should be able to move it forward. Yesterday was a weird day with time spent waiting to see what was happening with my friend’s flight. It was a 13 hour delay in total on top of the initial overnight flight. She was shattered.Today mr wii spoke and told me I was up 2 pounds though the number only moved by one. I wish I could claim to be surprised but I think I got off lightly. I need to update my sig. dh and I spoke yesterday about next month’s pb purchase. We decided that we will fund the bills amount from the emergency fund to get those included in the September draw and then top up the energency fund in a few days once we are paid. If we do the same next month we will hit ten percent. So far there’s no win from this pot but there’s always a possibility. I also identified a £20 addition to the pot from savings generated from broadband, tv phone service. This was supposed to be earmarked for something else but given we didn’t use it, I’m not letting it go to a general disappearing fund. This morning I also paid my end of July tax bill from my business account so that’s out of the road until next January. Right, am still playing catch up with work stuff so need to get motoring.

That sounds like a good plan for the funds. Fingers crossed you get a nice win."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

A few bits and pieces got done workwise yesterday but not enough. Today I’ve had an on line meeting and have issued a requested email. Yesterday we found a purpose for two of the empty drawers though this has freed up another smaller space. I have now placed an embargo on the purchase of candles. Admittedly some were gifted inc a Jo Malone that I can’t bring myself to use. It’s literally sending £52 up in smoke.
need to work out a plan of attack for today in an attempt to be productive. Hopefully I can get that in place pre popmaster.
