Well done for the smaller tee shirt!
I hope the client work has gone okay. I'm not sure you realise just how much you are achieving.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I just spotted something on another thread... someone asked (tongue in cheek) if they could count weight lost as pounds decluttered. I know it wasn't asked seriously, but weight loss can be very hard won and I think there's every reason to acknowledge it's gone. So perhaps your decluttering total should be higher than it is?
Do you follow the decluttering thread at all? They were supportive when I was battling my way through things at my parent's old house, but even reading some of it is helpful.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Empty bins always feel full of opportunity, it's like a fresh start
Well done on the continued organisation, and great news about a smaller sized favourite t-shirt."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -
Good BS levels and weight loss is great.
Good to read your updatesIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

So yesterday’s work didn’t go as planned as I’m waiting for a client response. More progress was however made on the home office which is good. I even got dh to hang a picture, not in what will be its permanent place, but it’s off the floor. Plus by making use of the picture rail and hook, there’s no permanent marks.I have discovered that my tax records are stored in two separate places but I’m living with that, for now, to get the room usable. My decluttering total increased slightly. Cherry I haven’t looked at the decluttering threads yet but may do when I reach the point where decisions become less obvious. Currently they are dump, recycle, shred, rehome or to the ni distribution centre for a cancer charity who stock shops. We managed without shopping yesterday which meant a reduction in what’s in the freezer. This is good. Today however we need fresh salad stuff, bread, Greek yogurt, etc. I’m deliberately restricting protein to force us to the freezer.Right, must crack on. Today’s ms thing is banking some coppers and small coins.
today I am grateful for

Glad you had a decluttering breakthrough! One room looking better is a great result"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

So I had decided a while back that, as far as possible, I would restrict my work to three days a week when things are quiet. Otherwise, I was doing bits every day and never taking a real break nor being particularly productive. Yesterday was a day off. I started by dropping 8 books and some bits and pieces into ds who was just about to go to the shops. As it was raining, I drove and managed to get all bar 2 of the items on my list. I also got an update on how things sit re my mother’s affairs.Having dropped her home, I went to finish my shopping using £23 of clubcard vouchers and buying 2 items as this year’s stocking fillers. I didn’t get to the bank as dh stashed the lodgement somewhere?
while shopping I picked up some whoopsied items and made a pasta dish for dinner plus 3 portions already frozen for lunches. It’s weird but I struggle to find something other than bread for lunch.Apart from that, dh and I sat down and counted up what’s to go to pb this month. So far it’s £213 so we have a £12 target by next Thursday when they will be bought. We also reviewed current vinted listings and identified a dress to go to charity shop.Today is a work day so, off I go. Today I am grateful for
positive steps and positive feelings
Our pb pot achieved mainly by decluttering and vouchers

I love that you have 'being able to gift things' as a gratitude item. You are so right, and it's good to be reminded of it.
I have almost given up bread since I found that's a major cause of my reflux. Quite a lot of lunches are now yogurt with stuff mixed in (oats, seeds, jam, honey, fruit...) That works well for me and is a very balanced diet so long as I get iron from somewhere. I also like 'breakfast for lunch' - cereal is good if I'm in a hurry. Today's lunch will be leftover salad from yesterday when I had friends round. I would quite like pasta but it doesn't fit in with the things I need to use up!
I won't go into the times when chocolate or cake get involved.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I quite often do extra new potatoes at tea time and have them the following day for dinner (lunch 😂😂) I quite like them with tuna and green beans with an olive or 2. But they’re great with lots of things…..warm or cold.January spends - £587.585
