My handbag arrived yesterday along with the pair of shoes I ordered. I love the handbag. Despite the despatch note saying navy, the bag contains black shoes and this is what the label on the bag says too. These will be returned in store. Yesterday I received an email from turtle doves saying my fingerless gloves are on their way. Total cost to me was under £8 and a holey cardigan left the house. I wasn’t sure it’d be accepted. I have two more Cardigans to move on but struggle to part with cashmere. One of these items is referred to as the colandered cardigan but is still suitable for hibernation.I’m happy to report spends were low yesterday with just bread being purchased and one item was half price.I’m also happy to report one item cleared off the to do list.Right, need to get going to prep for the return of the cleaning service. Yay!

Yesterday I took the bull by the horns and tackled one client issue. A resolution was agreed, I just need to check it’s followed through. Today another issue will be tackled. Bit by bit things will get done. Most important job for today is sorting out cover arrangements for my night away on Sunday. Dog sitting is in place and I can’t wait to be indulged in my favourite local ish hotel. It’s only about 40 miles away and is utter heaven. I also have a voucher for afternoon tea that we will use on the Monday. It’s a bank holiday here so dh won’t need to take any leave.
yesterday, the cleaning service came back. Apparently the dog didn’t engage immediately but then realised who the strangers were in her house and was delighted to have new people to talk to.Right, need to go tackle the issue of ds’s birthday present. Happy hump day everyone.

It's so frustrating when that happens.
Is this the weekend of your trip away? And what have we missed in the lost posts?:)

Yes, we go after lunch on Sunday and return on Monday. As for the post, it was probably a litany of grumbles and groans. Groan of the day today is Royal Mail. We sent off the parcel guaranteed next day delivery and they failed to deliver as it was apparently incorrectly addressed. It took until 4 o’clock to get a call answered on customer service which is a hell of a misnomer. They refused to try to resolve this at all and the best they can say is it should be returned today to us and, if they’ve made a mistake, they will issue a refund. Yep, that’ll address a late birthday present won’t it. Apparently they cannot answer calls in a timely manner due to COVID. I am beyond disgusted at the organisations who can keep functions going that take money while ignoring customer services functions. Also, handling calls is one of the things that can reasonably be undertaken remotely so there should not be this level of disruption that has left me feeling that I have failed as a parent.Another row was had with our main funder yesterday and I’m just browned off but am heading in today. oh, and I got hit with pigeon poop while going to the bank!
This afternoon and evening I have to get on top of admin plus some other client stuff. Right, need to go pick up the chef.
