I hope the training went well, and have a good weekend x"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney4

So by accident rather than by design, the training went ok. The accident was that whatever I did, I could only see my presentation and not the faces of those attending. It meant that I wasn’t distracted by people looking bored, fidgeting, etc. There was however minimal feedback or engagement.I then went to the client where it was a surprisingly smooth day and, so far, I haven’t once been contacted this weekend.Yesterday the furry one had her vet visit as we had noticed a changed appearance of a wart. Apparently it’s all good and she has been given some additional pain meds. She is in the same cycle as I. She’s sore and carrying excess weight. She needs exercise but struggles. The hope is that if we get the pain managed, she can go further thereby reducing the weight on her legs. Most importantly though, she still appears to be a happy dog which is the main thing.
i did some shopping yesterday as dh’s favourite item wasn’t in the bakery when I called in on Friday but was expected yesterday. I also had to go to a post office so I went to a Tesco based one and, on the grounds that I had to queue to get in, I did a quick skite round the shop and bought four types of fruit plus some salad. I will take the fruit to the client with me to help not eat junk food. I know it’s high sugar but it also has benefits that chocolate can’t deliver.Today I need to work on some admin stuff plus stuff for another client. I am also thinking that laundry might be an option to benefit from the windy though mainly dry day we are fortunate to be having today. That said, the clouds have appeared as I typed.
right, really need to get off these diaries.

Glad the furry friend is ok."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney4

She’s fine just a cross between a rebellious teenager and a grumbling old madam. That said, if I’m watching something sad or if something happens (like falling last night in the living room) she’s there for me. She’s funny and loving as well as set in her ways and demanding. Despite swearing that I’d never get another dog, we are so lucky to have her.As usual, I didn’t manage as much yesterday as I should have but I did issue two invoices. I also contemplated going out for lunch to a favourite reopened restaurant but decided that I probably wouldn’t get the benefit of it as I’m not sure that I could have relaxed enough to enjoy the experience.
spoke to dd yesterday and let her know the outcome of the vet visit. We hadn’t told her we were going as there was no point in worrying her. There was a bit of a mixed reaction. On money matters, I paid my credit card and paid myself yesterday. Next month’s bill will be astronomical as it includes my annual rates bill plus various other items inc my brother’s anniversary present but so far, the money is there to cover it. While browsing diaries here at the weekend, I came across someone whose partner kinda agrees finance matters in principle but is useless at the management of these. That resonated with me. What they do is take time every month to agree the plan and then she executes it. This is a way forward for us as I can get on with the doing knowing that the responsibility is shared. I raised this with dh and he agreed. The first session will be next Sunday though he doesn’t know that yet.Right, there’s lot to get done today so I need to get underway.

oh cherry, meant to say thanks for the link. However she’s settled on her food so we don’t want to risk a change. Hope you are okay after your fall? I'm always a bit wary of falls since I had a drastic one once, which I still put down to trying to do one more thing when I was tired (which is probably why I'm concerned for you ).
That sounds like a possible way forward with your DH. He seems to have your back so often but on this that really matters to you, it must be a regular source of frustration not to have him on board. Are you going to have a list for him just to agree to then a separate list 'for discussion'? This lack of agreement between spouses seems to be a bit of a theme on these boards.
Oh, and I see what you mean about the dog's diet! No, please don't poison her with the wrong food! I know zilch about dog diets apart from that they can be vegetarian and they mustn't have chocolate...
