I Recently read an article about how time actually does go faster as you age as your period of reference is extending so each day is a smaller percentage of time lived. This reassured me as I frequently feel that days are running away. On Friday we hopefully headed off a crisis at the client but it’s like wacamole with another raising its head.Yesterday, taking advantage of various relaxations, I drove to the farm shop with dh and sent him in. My conclusion is that I have to just accept that there are some things I’m better doing myself. He bought several part meals inc prepared potatoes that we had previously said were nice but not nice enough to justify the price. The worst thing was that I provided him with a list of what we had previously said was good from there based on my purchases. Still we will eat well this week. Before the farm shop, I nipped to Asda at around quarter past eight. My mum is 90 later this week and I am putting together various food items for her and I knew some could be sourced in Asda. I also managed a freshly baked tiger loaf which I love. It might help explain the 1lb weight gain from my weekly conversation with mr wii. The rest of the day was split between the telly and cleaning. Another 4 items are leaving the house. DH had written the to do list while I drove. I do not like his list making style. He groups things together so the entire room has to be completed before the gratification of scoring something off the list. Very little got scored off. Today I need to get things done pre bathroom inspection at just after three. That means, I need to get going.
today I am grateful for
winning a lucky dip entry on the lottery

So we cracked on and made more inroads to the housework. Another three items left the house, two with the possible bathroom designer. Beyond that, I’m not sure where the rest of the day went but I was lucky enough to catch up with an overseas niece when I called my sister. I’m just heading to the client where two of the problem staff aren’t in today which is a big bonus. One is very pleasant but despite more than 10 years’ employment there, completely ineffective. The other just creates a nasty atmosphere. There are a few pressing items on the todo list there. With regard to my weekend to do list, the big one that’s outstanding is to pay myself. That will happen tonight as I had a laptop / desktop free weekend. I can’t remember when that last happened. Right, dh has just offered me another cuppa which I will drink while getting ready. Today I am grateful for
a productive weekend where stuff that makes for a nicer house got done
