You still make progress despite things being difficult. Hope today has gone well x"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5

I’d definitely get the input of new eyes looking at the house plans.I’m pleased you have somebody reliable to work with you. It makes a difference knowing when somebody is reliable.
I too am glad of a cooler day and a bit of rain. Ideally I’d like somewhere warmer than today but cooler than yesterday. Yesterday evening was my ideal temperature 👍January spends - £587.586 -
yesterday I had my admin person on site. It was shaming. I can remember when I used to be the person who could get things sorted. She sorted a bag of rubbish plus a bag and a half of shredding and put structure in place for some areas. She will be back on Friday afternoon. I finished up around six then went back for two hours to talk to the night shift. That was productive. In between, we had dinner a la bing from the freezer which has freed up the tiniest bit of space. I’m not sure how we struggle to find meals when our freezer is full. Admittedly one drawer is given over to gifted food for the furry one. Yesterday she got approx 20 cooked sausages donated. I think I will see if there’s something in there that we could have tonight. There is an increasing risk of spend due to the increasing number of take away and drive thru places being opened.

Thanks for delurking, I really appreciate it. The best thing I can say about yesterday is that it’s over. I am tired of dealing with this. In fact, I am just tired. My admin support texted last night to advise that she couldn’t make it in today. The way this week has gone, I’m not surprised. I need to get going or else I won’t.Today I am grateful for

Yesterday was a bit of a nothing day and I made a trip to do my grocery shopping at an m&s food store. I came out £22 over where I thought I would be and that was using £12 of offers. I did not use any sb vouchers as I’m hopeful of major Christmas celebrations and festivities and would love to have them paid for by lock down earnings.I did however buy two produced for Easter chocolate products that will be part of the parcels going for the offspring birthdays in July. One was a chocolate sloth and the other a chocolate dinosaur both with dates post birthdays. I’ve no idea what else they will receive this year apart from the finger of fudge that dd insists on along with Percy pigs.
after shopping I noticed the kfc nearby only had a small queue so I purchased dinner for dh. It’s his favourite type of fast food. I also got a tub of gravy for me that went with the sausage and mash that he already had underway for dinner. It was great.Today I did a tiny bit of number crunching and updated my signature. In just under six and a half years, my mortgage less offset money (that still earns more than my mortgage costs) is just under half of what it was when I started my first diary. I also have provision made for my tax bill with some left over. This helps with my self employed anxiety particularly when I can’t foresee many post Covid employment opportunities.Today I am hopeful that I won’t hear from any clients though I do have some catch up needed.
