Great that you got your invoice and the other piece of work out of the way.
I sympathise with you about your DH with his cold. I have a DS who's been off work since the end of last week with a stomach bug that's not getting better, but will he actually go to the doctor? No... and he is a nurse! :rotfl:
Can you treat yourself to an earlier night tonight as a reward for the ungodly hour last night? Easier said than done, of course.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Don’t men drive you mad if they’re ill.....martyr mode :rotfl: I could happily throttle dh when he is poorly - which thankfully isn’t often. Sorry to any menfolk out there for generalising....
Hope you get a better nights sleep tonight.January spends - £587.581 -
I hope DH gets better soon so that he's not keeping you awake with his noisy cold .
It's great that you've got some mini breaks to look forward to, I'm sure that helps to motivate you generally and you work so hard that you deserve a break.

I’m sure I posted yesterday but there’s nothing here. Invoice was paid and I lodged it yesterday as I had to go to the bank for a client anyway.
Through a friend of mine, the client has gained a bit of a windfall which is good. I will be picking up today after the dreaded hospital appointment.
If I get to see the consultant, all should be well. If it’s one of her team, less so.
DH’s cold is improving. He already had a day’s leave booked for yesterday before the cold kicked in so he got two pieces of work cleared for me.
Yesterday I was late at the client but had dinner there. It was stew which was just right for the weather we are having.
In other news, I got my mum’s insurance sorted. It was up £8 from last year but was still more than £60 less than the quote she was provided with.
And finally, good old ERNIE came through for me yesterday. Another £25 less ds’s 10% towards the flight or hotel costs. Right, I need to get motoring as I don’t want to be late for my appointment.
Today I am grateful for
An appointment not being cancelled, last year it was rescheduled 4 times

I hope it's the consultant.
Would be great to get official backing for something that seems to work so well for you.

It was the consultant. We have a cunning plan with key stages identified. She has put me on a new medication that will work with our agreed plan. It was weird hearing myself say that at long last, a diet wasn’t about weight loss but about feeling better. I must admit though that I have earmarked some smaller size clothing wants.
Yesterday I got a sb bonus confirmed, a pa survey and a few on yoursaypays. I also won a £2 voucher from my wee tv survey site. Holiday costs were heading in the right direction. However, Ryanair emailed to say they are pulling the flights we booked last week. The route finishes at the start of November. I’m really disappointed. DH is on the search for an alternative.
Yesterday I spent an extra half hour at the client. I cleared my desk, emptied the shredder and hoovered the floor. I will have an orderly environment to go into on Monday.
Today I am grateful for
A supported plan
A donation to my client
