    I love Betty's tea rooms.
The beauty treats are very MSE.

Self-sabotage should be my middle name... in all aspects of my life. It's scary at times!!!
Apparently sugar is addictive so the more you give your body the more it wants. Why can't it want more fruit and veg instead?? :rotfl:

I've lived near to a Betty's for 25 years.... never felt I could afford it, though! :D

  • .....I'm going near the fat rascal place tomorrow! talk about self-sabotage!

Glad you have got a mini-break sorted out - will be very Christmassy! Taking a stab in the dark here - not Vienna by any chance? The hotel sounds a real bargain by the way.

All this talk of a certain eatery...! I've just googled them and found the films of the history of the firm - fascinating to watch, I had no idea of all this. Quite a business! Now I feel I want to make my own Fat Rascals though I don't have their recipe. :)

  • SSG, the mini break is to Berlin as we can get direct flights and it has an intercontinental where we can use dh’s deal. We did Vienna a few years ago and I’d love to go back. However, there is only one airline that flies there from Belfast and they only do one return flight a year and it doesn’t come cheap. Also, I think I was more into it than dh. Neither of us have been to Germany before so we will give it a go.

Yesterday I got my bloods done and then went into ms Pac-Man mode. I had a packet of cooked meat with me but it smelled odd when I opened it so it went to the food waste despite being 3 days in date. Instead I ate junk. I’m hoping my Friday appointment will kick start me. Also, once I get an approved plan and checkpoints from my consultant, I am generally quite good at working to it. The difficulty is my gp won’t depart from guidelines issued more than 20 years ago so unless my consultant spells it out, he won’t work with me.

I’m seriously falling behind on work but am making progress with my biggest problem.

    Today I am grateful for

I’m with you on the self sabotage- why do we do it to ourselves:o;)
Sounds like you’ve had a lovely family time :T

  • So,last night at an ungodly hour, I sorted out an invoice as it should be able to be processed today. Lovely pennies enroute to my business account. I also broke down tasks for another client into pieces and cleared one. I need to get better at that.

DH has a cold that he neglected to the point where it may become terminal. As in, I may kill him if there’s another night alternating between coughing and snoring! I never aimed to be a nurse, can’t you tell?

Today there is lots to do so I need to get motoring.

    Today I am grateful for
Finally realising that a gardening glove with a massive hole needed to be dumped.
