Sounds like you are making great progress. I agree with not saving things for best."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

So, another half hour weeding was done last night. I am now close to half way through one bed. I also uprooted two plants from paved areas and put in the bed. I’m hoping that more plants will help keep weeds at bay. We had a downpour last night which I hope will help settle them. I’m trying to be methodical tackling one bit at a time but there’s so much needed that it’s hard not to digress. Still, I have a wee bin that’s about 2 ft tall and it was filled and emptied twice so I must be making progress.
I didn’t make progress on the kitchen
The client threw up another issue yesterday which means that I will be working from half nine until about half one this evening. I’m tired. It will also impact on staffing arrangements going forward. It’s not good.
Yesterday I raised two invoices which is good. I was also in touch with another client and have agreed to spend Sunday with them at an event. To be honest, I could see it far enough but they seemed in need of support.
Today I am grateful for

No weeding done yesterday. We stopped off at the chippy for dinner which was consumed, then a confab with the builder, a call from dd then back to the client but I did get away around 12.30. It was not a fun visit apart from banter with the service users.
Today I am tired but need to get a task cleared. I will crash and burn this evening.
Today I am grateful for

So close to the end with the building work! :j:j:j
I think I still suffer from mild stress just thinking back to when we had our wiring completely re-done... but of course it's paid off in the long run.

Yesterday evening I hit the panic button. I was completely overwhelmed by the time bounded task so I asked dh to help. I thought it’d be an hour. He came round to the client shortly after five and we finished up around ten. Dinner was a crisp sarnie for me and a sausage and stuffing pastry thing from the freezer for him. This was the last of these and there’s still two weeks before the bakery opens. He may suffer withdrawal.
We are both really tired today but it is what it is. In a way, I can’t wait to get to the client as one hour will finish what needs done. We are struggling with staff issues but there’s little we can do that isn’t being done. On other news, I got two wee surveys from pa yesterday which is good. I also got a response from someone that I was concerned was having a bit of a wobble about involvement.
Today I am grateful for

You are awesome.
Seconded.
I know you mentioned various staff members with things going on outside work, but I wonder if others are suffering from the work itself?
Hopefully the decision made by the trustees will have some influence for the better.
