Yesterday was a bit of a hectic day. Was caught up in roadworks on my way to my first meeting. That meeting took longer than I envisaged. Then changed venue for second meeting to minimise the other party’s travel and it over ran. Hit more but different roadworks on way back so headed straight to the client where I closed the door and did my application while dealing with various interruptions and got it submitted with ten mins to spare. Unfortunately this will enforce my belief that I work best under pressure so will disincentivise any attempt at time management
I don’t know about the rest of you but I am struggling with the time change. The 4 legged one hasn’t made any adjustment. Today I need to get an invoice drawn up that covers to end of March for one client. I am also unsure where I will be as dd has a commitment that I was going to attend with her but that she now says she’s fine to do on her own. Tonight I am off the see Dumbo. I am so excited but will struggle with the lack of popcorn however today’s bs remains in range though slightly reduced. If this is sustained I’m planning to come off one drug entirely if I can get the longer term result redone next week.
Today I am grateful for
Cinnamon and apple porridge, the mainstay of this eating plan for me

It's good you got the application in - I, too, work better under pressure so I sympathise. It's usually an indication for me that I don't want to face either the end result or the workload involved, so in my case it's another way of saying I'm either unhappy or lazy, but it's true, I do work better under pressure.
Could you make popcorn from scratch so you can control what goes in, or are the carbs a problem?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Well done on the job application, the bs levels, the weight loss and new/old wardrobe finds, and resisting tablet, (whatever that is! Well I know MiT used to make it too: condensed milk and chocolate?).
Go you. I just need to have your will power to stay on the diet and off wine for long enough to re lose the weight I'd previously lost but which has crept back on. The kids are struggling with the time change in the morning. Lets bet they're used to it by the weekend, and get up early again instead of sleeping in!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Oh dumbo. Such a nice wee movie but with a touch of darkness. We both sniffed a bit. Snacks were resisted but the timing of the movie meant that we didn’t eat until around ten last night. I was worried what this would do to bs but although they were up, they were still within range which was a relief.
Verbatim, tablet is like a hard form of fudge. It is possibly the sweetest thing you could eat. Many years ago when I was at school, one of the science teachers used to make it over a Bunsen burner and sell it by the square for charity. There was a limit on the number of squares you could purchase. My recipe which requires a full 2 kg pack of sugar uses a lasagne tray so you can guess how concentrated the sweetness is.
Today I have a lot to get through but am staying home until after 9 to get presale tickets to see Cher. That’ll use up the last of my birthday money but I’m really keen to see her esp since it’s local so no additional costs except car parking. It’s not until November.
We are currently having a cold snap and that combined with the time change makes me wonder when humans are going to complete evolution to become hibernating animals. Wouldn’t it be lovely to sleep through the cold and emerge slim for summer?
Today I am grateful for
A night out
A warm comfy bed

Yesterday I had to go pick up some specialist printing and got drenched. Staff actually laughed at the drowned rat appearance when I made it back to the client. We finished up a wee bit early last night to get dd home before her father took her to the airport. Despite the weather her only delay was a cancelled bus when she landed which meant getting home at 11 instead of 10.30. She did go armed with some locally sourced provisions so will have enough to keep her going until the weekend when she should have time to shop. The poor dog will miss her. Anyhow my battery is about to die so time for a little gratitude
