  • Got the tender in. As always, once the deadline passed, I was able to come up with ideas as to how it could have been improved. Yesterday was my birthday and our wedding anniversary so we set aside the diet to a degree. DH bought a tiny Victoria sandwich from patisserie Valerie and we each had a quarter. It was about the size of one item on an afternoon tea plate but was sufficient. We then went to kfc and got a takeaway. It was probably a third of what we would previously have ordered and it was plenty. Our eyes are being opened with regard to portion control. Up to now, we were just piling far too much stuff onto our plates and into our mouths.

That said, I was nervous when taking my bs reading but in spite of the reduced meds, I was comfortably within range. Today I should be able to get my long range bs score following monday’s Blood tests. I’ve no idea what it will look like as more than half of the period captured was pre the diet.

Yesterday there was lots of contact from friends and family which was lovely. DH bought me a bag to die for that I totally love but could never have justified as it could never be an everyday bag. Today he needs to get to work a bit earlier than usual so I need to get a wiggle on.

    Today I am grateful for
    Well thought out gifts
    A dog who entertains visitors
Acquiring a window cleaner while I worked on the tender
