I would be tempted to half the tablet myself.
Me too if it's possible to cut it in half. More tricky if it's a capsule filled with whatnot (you know what I mean).

It is a tablet but I’m holding fire as I have blood tests in my gp booked for next Monday. If he doesn’t agree to a reduction when they come back, I’m just gonna do it myself. The ridiculous thing is that the consultant said I could either come off them altogether or go half if I wanted the comfort. This is me trying to actively manage things for the first time ever. Also, I have never told any fibs about lifestyle as I really don’t see the point in not being honest with a doctor. Anyhow, back to well within range today which is good. Even if no further benefits arise, I’m still down 2 tablets a day which is a positive. Yesterday I tried on the too small presentable jeans. They have a bit of a muffin top but I fit into them which is a relief. I’m otherwise down to my last pair of jeans purchased circa 2010 and was afraid they’d give up the ghost before I gave up the weight.
DH had a try on session yesterday and has recovered three scarcely worn shirts from the too small box. That’ll take some pressure off the mixed wash. There are 3 others that aren’t too far from fitting. If he keeps this up, suits will need altered.
Yesterday was a good day as I found £20 I had stashed for some reason and forgotten about so an op and tt was made to the mortgage. I also found a €200 hotel gift voucher that is due to expire so we will get a 2 night mini break in the next 2 months and, I emailed a company about an expired gift voucher and they have reissued and are having a sale! I will have to either spend an extra £10 or £5 on postage but it’s still £30 to the good for me and I had identified something to buy for an upcoming 18th birthday.
On other news, a former colleague alerted me to a job that was being advertised and it’s one that I previously applied for. It’s a bit of a dream job for me but competition will be fierce. Still, if you’re not in, you can’t win. I’ve sought advice from my former boss and he’s going to work with me and sense check, etc. My application. It’s also quite a short recruitment process which is good. Approximately 1 month from ad to appointment.
It also pays more than I have ever earned and has a good pension which would be a major plus for me. Oh, and it’s based within 12 minutes from home. I just need to start working on the application.
Today I am grateful for

I would be too.

I hope you get the tablet situation sorted, but congrats to both you and OH on fitting into the smaller clothes!

I gave myself the bank holiday here yesterday and, bar drafting an email, I’m not sure that I actually got anything done. Grocery shopping was done and whoopsied leeks were purchased. We also got a good price on meat at the butchery counter with most things meeting the low calorie, low sugar criteria. There was an extra freebie that was 2 chicken breast fillets in a pepper sauce with crispy onions but everything else was naked meat and will cover our needs for around two weeks. It was so hard not to buy sausages!
Today I’m going to that client for the morning. DD has blood tests this morning followed by a trip to the vet at lunchtime. She goes back at tea time this evening. She will be back in 2 weeks as she’s been called as a witness against the person who broke into our house just before we went on holiday last year.
So far today I just can’t be bothered. I didn’t sleep well last night though I’m not sure why. Just feeling sluggish now.
Today I am grateful for

Well, I only did 3 hours at the client yesterday thnan came home to see dd and also how the furry one had gotten on at the vet. Fairly clean bill of health though is now on meds for arthritic hips. We also have been advised to up herfood so she will be treated to scrambled eggs in the evenings.
DD’s father was supposed to be bringing her to the airport yesterday but, as usual, was running late. This tends to be his default which is very handy for him but leaves others, mainly me, picking up the slack. My problem was that I needed diesel and had told dd this so needed a bit of notice if a lift was needed. Of course there was no warning as her muppet father couldn’t foresee getting stuck in traffic at 5 in the evening. At one point the car told me I had 14 miles left in the tank with 7 still to drive. Still, she made her flight.
Last night I started work on a tender submission and the job application. I can’t help feeling that the job has been written for someone but I’m working on the basis that they could have a bad day at interview! There are a lot of hoops to get through but it is well paid. I’d take home about 5 times what I currently pay myself each month.
Today I am meeting the regulator for that client in the hope of getting clarity on the complaint. I hate having an unknown hanging over me. So, we are due to meet at three. The complication is that this is someone with whom I worked years ago. Still, at least any exchange should be frank.
Today I am grateful for
Being able to fit into what was a too small skirt yesterday
Being available when needed to provide a lift
