  • I'm sorry DH didn't get the job, especially as he did so much preparation for it. Did he get any feedback as to what went wrong?

Well done on your weight loss and I'm glad the regulator was on your side with regard to nightmare client :T.

  • Well, I didn’t sort out the plant pot, instead I sat and watched 4 in a bed, 5 episodes back to back. I did make a £50 and pennies overpayment to the mortgage based on our lottery win and my PA payout. I updated my sig to reflect. I also researched a home for money that will be used to pay my tax bill next January and have found a six month bond that sits within the deposit guarantee scheme and gives a slightly better rate of interest. The plan is to open this, transfer the money in the next week or so and then forget about it. What I’m setting aside for this bill will generate approx £100 in interest over the course of the 6 months which is better than the nothing I’d get leaving it where it is. It also reduces the chances of it being spent. Today I am heading to the dr for blood tests and to have the row about reducing meds. I am determined that I will be making the reduction and that it’s up to them if it happens in a more controlled manner.
I will go into the client later as they have a time bounded activity that needs addressed and I have other client work to get to today including a tender submission due in on Wednesday.

    Today I am grateful for

  • Well done on the weightloss and the OP.

Sorry your DH didn't get the job.

Hope you have a good day.

  • Went to the gp, bloods were taken and I got to see the dr. He agreed to give me half dose on one of my meds. He also rebooked for more blood tests in 6 weeks. In a way I wish I’d been able to reduce the number of meds but this is a safer way to go. I then spent 6 hours at the client yesterday, came home and sorted the flower pots at the front door. I also started putting my office back together and found a home for 4 books in a bookcase. There’s so much to do but it’s a start.

    Today I am grateful for
DH getting some items onto eBay. Downside is that he totally underpriced the only item with a bid.

  • You will get off those meds eventually, it is a slow process sometimes but slow progress is better than no progress.

Just catching up with your goings on inod. Sorry to hear about DH's job interview, but on the positive side it's all good interview training for the future.

Weight and bloods going well too. I'm pleased to hear things went better for you at the docs this time around.

The bond sounds a good idea as well. An extra £100 for nothing is not to be sneezed at!:)

    Have a good day!

Sorry re DH's job too but your turnabout on your diet and the results are absolutely amazing. So impressed.

  • Yesterday was a long long day. I finished up at half nine when I wolfed down an orange. On the plus side, lunch on site yesterday was a massive salad so I had plenty to keep me going. It meant I just had tea and cooked ham when I got home and my bs was good this morning despite going onto one tablet of half meds.

Today I am not going on site as I have a tender submission to get in by three o’clock and I really need to start work on it. It’s for up to three years but on a call off basis that doesn’t commit me to anything as assignments will be offered on a one by one basis if I’m successful. The best bit is that I’m submitting this jointly with two former colleagues with whom I worked well in the past.

My cheque still hasn’t arrived which is a bit of a pain plus I’m due more money from a client whose payment run is normally on a Wednesday so fingers crossed that will hit the bank by Friday.

Right, need to crack on with that tender. Today I am grateful for
