Great news on the blood sugars! Where did you get your konjac noodles? Keep banging on about blood sugars as much as you like. It's your diary and all your regular readers are here to support you.
I think you're doing really well and congrats on the blood sugar readings. I've got into Aldi's quinoa bites which are gluten free and a very nice replacement for crisps, etc if the munchies threaten. 85 calories a bag! Might be an idea if you have an Aldi near you.

Verbatim, dh got the noodles at a fairly local Chinese supermarket. SSG, we don’t have Aldi here but I am in Dublin working on Tuesday so I will probably swing by one of the branches there to pick up some stuff.
And now, before I spontaneously combust with excitement, the scores on the doors are in. BS still within normal but down more than 2 points. The reading was however 2 hours later than usual. So I’m only counting a 1 point reduction and mr wii advised of a 6 lb weight loss for me and 7 lbs for dh. I know that this will not be sustainable but it has given me an amazing boost. Even if I only do half that for the next 3 weeks, it’d be more than a stone off in a month and that’s in addition to the primary goal which is the blood sugar reduction.
And now for the not so good news. Yesterday I did the grocery shopping but not much more. Also, I spent £26 which was on top of the £26 spent on Friday in m&s. yesterday’s did include a deodorant at £2 but everything else was food though half of the meat I bought was frozen as the bigger pack was better value. I also picked up some fry lite that was on offer and a bulb of fennel to add flavour to my lunch leaves. It was another £1.
Still items purchased were offset by the savings by avoiding a Saturday night takeaway which last week was the dominos £20 deal.
Today’s must do list is pretty much yesterday’s but hopefully things will get done this time round. Anyhow, gotta cash in on this positive feeling and get some stuff down starting with putting the white bedding from our bed to soak in the hope of removing muddy paw prints.
Today I am grateful for
A better 1 week result than I could have hoped for.

Great news on both the blood sugar and the weight loss - amazing! It will help you find your way through the next week even if you still hate the food. How are you feeling in yourself, though?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I went and looked for the book as I am getting to be a proper fatty and eat chocolate constantly. Like I read Igamogam's daily diet and thought that would just give me a tummyache, so I am not remotely healthy.
Turns out I bought the book two year ago! So thank you for the (re) Inspiration.
Impressive results so far, no wonder you are pleased XXXNevertheless she persisted.1 -
Thanks for the kind words everyone. Buffy, that must be the first time ever that amazon saved you money!
So this morning levels are up but still within normal. I had thought they might have been a bit lower as I did an hour in the garden yesterday completely filling a brown bin that will be collected on Friday. We have 2 and plenty more garden stuff to clear up so fingers crossed for some more progress. Yesterday I also had a phone catch up with overseas sister and dd. DD is planning a pancake party tomorrow.
Considerable time was spent on interview prep with dh. That was fun! We have very different styles with him tending towards the why use one word when ten would do, approach. He also mentioned around 9 last night that there was one area he hadn’t started work on. I’m not too sure what he was doing up to then as he claims to have been working on this for the past fortnight. It’s a tough balance between giving a wake up call or discouraging him altogether.
Today I am doing a collection for that client and spending a few hours there. Then home for lunch and to run him into the interview. I need to get a cheque lodged, chase an invoice and do some other work. Especially if there’s a risk that I may need to pay a solicitor and there’s a risk that I may not be able to operate in the future.
Today I am grateful for
Hitting day 9 without any lapses
Progress in the garden

Well done for getting to Day 9!
I am another like your DH - brevity is not my strong point! I suppose there is a danger of things getting lost in the bulk of words? I would be afraid I'd missed something if I didn't talk myself to a full stop.
I note the mention of a possible solicitor. I'm sorry if I've missed it earlier. I'm assuming this is either Brexit or client-related (obviously you don't need to tell) but whichever it is, here's hoping it won't come to this as they can be costly and you could do without extra hassle.
Fingers crossed for your DH!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
