The friends that talk about you don’t sound very friendly. Put them out of your mind - what’s past is past - it’s now that is important.
Pleased the dog has been sleeping in for you.
    The Valentines gifts sounded perfect.

Hate it when that happens - especially if it's a) long and b) complicated.

What's up? Anything we can help with?

  • Tbh,I’m not even going to try again. It was a whinge fest about lack of stable income, do I want to be self employed, fear of making ops in case I need the cash, etc.

So, yesterday I concluded something at that client that has been ongoing since January last year. It’s not a good final outcome for those involved but I just did a victory dance for getting rid. There may be some comeback but, if there is, that’s a different process that will be done and dusted within a year. I celebrated last night with dinner from the chippy.

Dh has a promotion interview in a week and a half. He has been working on this for The past few days without letting me feed in. One of the things I do is coach people through interview processes. It was so frustrating. So, last night I finally persuaded him to let me see where he was. We managed to then shift approach to make some improvements that he agreed. I love when we work together, we once did many many years ago, and I think our styles really complement each other. Hopefully we can continue working on this and it’ll pay off. It’d be an extra £500 a month post tax which would be great.

It was ridiculously warm last night and I slept badly. I will struggle today and also probably tomorrow. The struggle will, in part, be due to the team who are on shift both mornings. I really don’t like working along side two out of three of them who are related. If I was an employee, I’d have submitted a complaint against one for the creation of a hostile working environment. Still, it is what it is. I just need to look at the chargeable hours grow.

    Today I am grateful for

Well done for drawing a line under that particular piece of work. Hopefully there won't be too much fallout for you, but it's always a relief to get to the end of something big like that, and chips are of course the best way to celebrate :)
Lots of good wishes to your DH for his interview!
I hope today goes okay. Boo to toxic colleagues.
