So, bowel spasm is much improved but it’ll probably be the weekend before it clears completely. Yesterday didn’t get off to a great start. I was late for my first meeting by half an hour due to traffic but was able to call in advance. It was a bit of a nothing meeting but there may be some work there in the future.
Met my friend which was good. We wandered, ate and shopped. Not too much was purchased but I managed a gift for a friend who is 60 on Christmas Day. As I don’t normally buy him a present, he wasn’t on the list but we I was chatting to my companion about Christmas plans when I remembered that something was needed. As she had met him previously, she was able to help and we found something lovely at 10% off. I also bought a plate for me. It has elephants on it because I obviously need another plate or another thing elephant related - Not!
Today I am at the nightmare with a clear focus on certain tasks, one of which is formulating my complaint. I don’t think I can do a long day. I don’t want to!
Today I am grateful for
Support and positive thoughts from hear. Cherry, thanks for your kind words about making time for friends, it’s something that I have let slip but am trying to tackle now so the encouragement is great.

Yesterday I went to that client and left at half three. My time and wellbeing is too important to me. A long term staff member was back after 4 weeks and is throwing his weight around and the manager is accommodating him.
Anyhow, enough of that. I have expended far too much time on that place. I do have other clients to whom I owe work and I do have admin that needs done. And my house is a mess. The bowel spasm hasn’t worked its way out and I have a health niggle to be monitored. I made the mistake of using dr google!
Last night I paid a bill and updated my sig. I’ve changed by target dates to match the business year and, fingers crossed, they look doable. Dh finally provided his letter to Santa. This will require some horse trading with the offspring. His big item cannot be accommodated in our budget as some stuff has already been bought but I could possibly persuade dd to buy an item from me so the big thing could be purchased as I don’t want either of them blowing the budget.
Today I am due to meet my friend for lunch. Her radiotherapy has finally just concluded. It’s been such a slog for her. Pre Christmas she and her family fly to NZ for her niece’s wedding. This will be very emotional as the father of the bride, my friend’s brother, has chronic leukaemia which is terminal but currently being managed. Still, they are focusing on the wedding, the festivities and the sun.

Didn’t go to that client at all yesterday. In fact, very little work was done at all. Me and the dog did a lot of lying down and snoozing. I met my friend for a truly tasty lunch, we both had the Christmas menu, and had a really good catch up. I also managed free car parking for the second time in a week.
Did a small shop that cost £2.50 then another £4.95 was spent at the bakery. When I arrived home, there was a client cheque waiting so a good result. I need to go to the post office today to get that lodged.
Today we are jointly tackling the kitchen in the final pre Christmas clear out and organise. Laundry is also needed and our bedroom needs a good clean. Despite whimpers of complaint about the cold, windows need to be opened. Fresh air is needed especially when we have an indoor dog.
Today I am grateful for
Being able to cover the cost of lunch when, to my friend’s total embarrassment, she discovered she’d no means of payment
Having remembered to get the dry cleaning
Having enough in the business account to be able to take time away from that nightmare client.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. I feel dog rough. Headachey and just not right. I woke up during the night and was choking. It was scary. I am tired as the 4 legged alarm clock kicked off bright and early and has been particularly demanding. Spends yesterday were bread, milk and butter purchased as it was on offer. I can’t see much being spent today as I really don’t want to venture far.
Today I am grateful for
