I find social stuff exhausting and prefer to spread it out a bit.

That meal out sounds dire. Maybe a word of feedback to the management might help them improve, though I think you have a million other things to be doing.

I hope this week goes as well as it can and after it you can breathe easy again. I'm sure better things will flow into the gap where TC was. Meanwhile hold your head high and flaunt the new haircut! :)

Well, the trip to the client and the laundry got done. I started to tackle our bedroom too. Some small progress there. I went to the concert. As usual, the sound quality was poor. Also to get parking, we went over early to get a meal that was neither cheap nor cheerful. I like my burger well done but this could have been used if the ice hockey played nearby ever runs out of a puck. They were out of pizza bases and apparently had also ran out of vinegar! One waiter asked if we would like our bill while we were waiting for our food.
So, while I’m in Dublin I intend to drop in a bag for repair that had the zip broken in transit on return from our last holiday. This will only work if it can be ready for Wednesday when I’m back down. It’s one of a set of three so fingers crossed that it can be fixed.
Is it just me or do other people also go weeks without social engagements and then have 2 or 3 in a row that leaves them feeling shattered?
Oh INOD I so agree on the run of social engagements. Also, in one restaurant where I agreed to cover our friends portion of the bill for her birthday I ended up paying £40 and being gluten free I only had a portion of cauliflower

    Agree on the social aspect.
Had DS's graduation & then my cousin was up from down south for the first time in nearly 4 years.
Then farewell lunch for a charity I am involved with.
    Phew.

Luckily only have one Christmas night out & I am seriously thinking of cancelling due to cost. Bah.

  • Long but productive day yesterday, I got home around 9. Both Dublin meetings were positive. However, I am now suffering with bowel spasm. As usual I failed to recognise the early symptoms so treatment only started last night.
A lovely client pushed the panic button yesterday so I need to make time for her. Tomorrow I am in Dublin for a meeting at ten then me and a friend are playing hookey and giving ourselves a wee skive off day when we are going to a massive craft fair. Apparently it’s too dear to shop at but we haven’t caught up in ages and just want to pockle.
Tonight I just want to curl up with the 4 legged fiend, watch holly then crash. Today I am grateful for

Hope you are soon feeling better, INOD. Have fun at the craft event and catching up with your friend (you are so good at making time for people :) ).
