Shame about the insurance, but at least you tried!

Good luck with the tender x

  • So, I submitted the tender 2 hours early and got an acknowledgement. I was then in the car on way to a meeting when I remeMbered I'd missed an essential requirement. Had to get thru meeting then hi tail to the home of the Golden Arches whose wifi was broken. DH managed to submit something at the exact closing time. Fingers crossed!

Had a lazy work free night last night, went to bed early and woke several times throughout the night worrying about work stuff. I am tired. The furry one had me up at 7 and I managed to get the freezer fully cleaned and sorted before breakfast. 4 items had to depart to the food waste, 1 was partially used and bb 2014. Too risky even for me!
So far today I have eaten my breakfast perusing my most recent gh mag that I think is the last or second last installment of dd's christmas gift from last year. I am currently inspired by all things christmasey but that'll probably fizzle out. I managed to get a reiki slot at 2.30 so will aim for productive between now and then. Today I am grateful for

Hope you have a good day INOD, and that the reiki works its magic.
Good luck with the tender.... fingers crossed for you. X

  • The reiki was good though I sometimes think it's as much about taking time out to lie quietly in a room as it is about the treatment. Afterwards, I nipped to lidl to get bread, etc. and got a major haul for just over £20. Admittedly, there was no protein as I can now see what we have in the freezer but lots of veg, some fruit and other things that will pull what we have into meals. Yesterday we took a pork joint out to defrost and that will be tonight's dinner with various bits and pieces. I also bought 4 cooking apples for 69p as opposed to a jar of Apple sauce that was more expensive. I will stew one or two to be eaten over the next day of so with the pork. I also bought brioche baps for 10p less than Iceland.
Today I have money things to sort, house things to sort and work things to sort. I need resolution and resolve.

  • On Mse news, an item I left in a consignment shop a year ago has finally sold! It only gets me £40 but better in my pocket and also something that will never reappear in the house. We sorted a few cupboards yesterday and have managed to identify some items to go and some to be stored that May be of use when dd gets settled somewhere finally.

I am feeling incredibly anxious at present. The situation with the nightmare client is becoming increasingly untenable and I have requested a meeting with the regulator. Being there is not good for me as things stand. There either needs to be change or I need to get out. My income will take hit but it is what it is. I am sad not to be part of the turn around but I need to free up time for my home and my business.
On money news, I did my October expenses, paid these and my monthly pay which I have increased by £200 PCM backdated to April. I am still well within my personal tax allowance limits but have enough to pay my credit card in full which I did.
I also took advantage of a tcb bonus offer and ordered some standard Christmas items along with a book for me by one of my favourite writers that I had never seen before that was sitting in clearance. That will be my go to read over the Christmas period.
We had the pork and homemade apple sauce last night. It worked. Yay
I think we will be living off it over the next few days.
    Today I am grateful for
    Central heating
    Being forced into action
A positive outcome for a friend who deserves it

Well done on the sale. £40 is not to be sniffed at! :T

Glad you are taking some steps with nightmare client, I hope you get some results, even if it means having to step away.

Great news on the pay rise and paying off the credit card.

What was the book? Don't feel obliged to say, I just love nosing at what people are reading :D
