Financial things are looking positive.
For some reason people here don't seem very keen on the nightmare client... I for one have concerns that they could drag you down with them, either in work terms or health. Look after yourself: they don't seem to be looking out for you, much as they need you. And if they are determined to fall to pieces, will you gain anything by holding out to the bitter end?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I'm extricating, bit by bit but it's happening. One major piece of work fundamentally complete and out for review. I'm also clearing up the desk I have been using. Today I have a morning with another client and will go in around lunchtime.
I am at another local client today for 10.30 until about 12.30. I have admin stuff to do before that. Also, have 2 half days to deliver elsewhere for other clients. Yesterday I had an enquiry from a previous life client who wants one day a quarter initially for one year. This would be good as between this and my one day a month client, my monthly pay to me would be close to being covered.
Last night we had more of the pork joint and DH added some to a stir fry that will provide 2 days of lunches. So far that will be 6 meals out of a reduced to £4 joint with the possibility of at least another one if not two.
I spoke to dd yesterday. She is home this weekend. We are also away Sunday night using a gift voucher for a spa break. She was supposed to be here with the dog but got the dates wrong. She is instead going to leave the dog with her father and we will have to collect her. I am not happy with this arrangement but if we were to bring the dog to where she normally holidays, it'd mean dd would not get that much time with her. Grrrr

I'm glad you are easing away from them too. I've read some Penny Vincenzi in the past and enjoyed them"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Spent yesterday morning at the regular client. Then entered the underworld. The contrast is scary. Today I am doing my last full day this week at that client. I will get stuff cleared.
Yesterday I visited the sparks shop between clients to take account of a money off voucher and an offer on one of dh's favourite foods currently at £2 instead of £2.75 per packet. 5 packets were bought along with some whoopsied items and a contribution towards a Christmas present.
Tomorrow I am at a new client for the first time so need to update training material. Today I am on the hunt for both a payment and a new commission over lunch with a client. It's my turn to pay but will be fairly cheap. I'm a bit concerned about the payment as they have always been prompt payers and I think the postal system may have let me down.
DD called last night. She arrives home Friday morning and wanted to know if the car is available for her to borrow on Friday afternoon. I'm glad I have my uses!

New client went well. I'm doing another session with them next week so fingers crossed for that. Today I am at a regular client which is nice. Then return home for dd to drop me into the nightmare and to borrow my car as this is her weekend at home. Last night was spent stashing Santa goodies before she has time on her own in the house!
DH and I worked out voucher availability to buy dS's main Christmas present. Between us, thanks to sb and some other bits and pieces, we need to come up with £30 to get £130 worth of items which I am happy with. It is rare that DS gets or asks for something other than cash which can be more difficult to come up with.
As usual, I am tired but need to get motoring as I'm due at a client in half an hour or so.
Today I am grateful for

Wow inod - you've certainly been having a rollercoaster of a ride since I last checked in.
I do hope you manage to get your OH on board with regard to his financial obligations. I agree with everything that Cherryfudge wrote in her post.
I'm glad you have finally made the decision to drop the nightmare client. From your posts on his subject it has been painfully clear that this client has been consistently dragging you down and stressing you out no end.
And I'm so pleased you've decided to hire a cleaner! This will free up your precious spare time no end!
I've so much admiration for how you cope with your business on your own. I've never been self-employed and have always been used to steady paying employment where I know exactly how much I'm paid each month. I take my hat off to you for your commitment and professionalism in the face of what has been some very difficult times.
Enjoy your forthcoming spa break with your DD. I love spending time away with mine as we don't live close. And it's great that you've got your old four-footed pal back again to cheer you up!Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

i can never get over how busy you are. It astounds me. Hope nightmare client bogs off soon (and pays a lot of money first). And OH sorts his life out.
I hope this weekend you get some rest or to do something you really want to do. XXXNevertheless she persisted.1
