  • So dd is home this weekend but is doing a one off job today. I am dropping her in and going to the Saturday market where I used to be a regular attendee but haven't been in about a year. I probably can't afford it but I wish I could care! I will buy nice bread and will return home for breakfast. I may also visit boots and the sparks shop though whoopsied items are unlikely.
Today I need to pay personal and business bills. I also need to do some invoicing and some bits and pieces of work. I can also refill the kitchen cupboard with the stuff we took out last weekend to deal with the spill. I need to get DH to check something for me just to be sure I've dealt with an admin thing properly.
    Today I am grateful for
    Dd's safe travel
Getting a small but difficult to manage task done and dusted
    Snuggles from the dog

  • Yesterday was hijacked by a belfast based come dine with me show followed by 4 in a bed. I did go to the market, I did overspend even buying a lamp that has no obvious place to live here. I did no admin, etc but dd and I watched 3 episodes of the new series of Chicago med back to back. Laundry was also done.
Today I need to get stuff done before heading off for our stay away. I need a list! I was in THE client yesterday for an hour and a half. It was surprisingly quiet.
    Today I am grateful for
    A slight lie in
Inspiration about how to stop procrastinating
    A pockle round the market

Sounds like life is busy again. Glad your dealings with nightmare client are coming to an end.
    January spends - £587.58
  • We did the spa break that was so good in some ways but so poor in others. It's in a mobile black spot and the wifi was intermittent. I was served the wrong dessert and then the original waitress stopped by to ask if I had changed my mind. No, you got the order wrong!
The biggest problem was the bedroom had very poor ventilation and I didn't sleep well and woke with a sinusy headache that lingered.

I managed to clear some work bits and pieces when I returned home inc a paper going to nightmare trustees that would extricate me from that client. I also managed two lengthy phone conversations that were needed which was good and assisted clarity.

Dinner came from whoopsied items purchased previously so no additional cost. We did stop into an outlet centre on way home. Picked up diaries for next year, pudding shaped lip balms down to £1 each and a book on offer at £1 to be donated to one of the family's wee ones.

    Today I am grateful for
    A good night's sleep
The return of the happy dog and that DH dealt with this
    Growing clarity

  • Omg, so did 11 hours at that client yesterday that included having to exclude a service user, deal with the police and attend a trustee meeting. I did get some progress on a matter I first raised in March that was blocked by the manager. He returned from sick leave on Monday so was in attendance and sat quiet as you like.
I got an emailed offer through for dh's now Christmas present that was reduced from £130 to £40 that combined with a bonus cashback of £2.50 so all is good there. We have an upper limit for present spends and I don't have much wriggle room left and have yet to get the necessary dark chocolate orange!
Right, a need to get moving. I am at 2 clients today and need to be corporately dressed.
