    That sounds awful.

    Great bargain!

  • I am, as always, tired! Yesterday went off ok and then we had sausage and mash for dinner which is always good. I am such an ethnic cliche. I always feel happier with a spud on my plate.
Today I am supposed to be at a networking event but am gonna bail. They sent an email yesterday saying it was full, that those who arrive slightly later but not late will probably have to stand, etc. this is a business women's thing. Don't they realise that a stuffed overheated room is not good for females of a certain age? Instead I am meeting a friend that I haven't seen in about a year. It'll be a cheap as chips dinner as we both have fairly basic tastes.
Clarity is creeping in with the nightmare. I'm getting definition introduced to my role and will stay to complete various tasks. This is however contingent upon no more people being off sick.
    Today I am grateful for
    A good client engagement yesterday
    Toasted fruit soda for breakfast
A comment that triggered a happy memory. It's too easy to get ground down by the day to day, sometimes thinking about something good makes all the difference, esp if you share the thought

I am always tired too. Are your iron levels okay or is it just lack of sleep?
I don't think your food tastes are basic. You eat simple but delicious food
I am also meeting a friend today. Enjoy.

  • The sausage and mash would certainly cheer me up!:D

Glad to hear you have some clarity with regard to the nightmare client.

  • Dinner on Thursday was ok both in terms of food and company. My friend was talking about mercury retrograde and the impact it can have, she's big into astrology. I shall no longer mock as a variety of circs saw me arrive at my fri client 45 mins late with little notice due to mobile black spots.
I went into the nightmare where the manager is back from stress leave and doing !!!!!! all except clouding matters for staff. Two things are however nearly over the line. I am in for an hour this evening to get one physically and actually signed off. It's only taken since March.

Last night we planned a laptop free evening with a takeaway and a movie. We spent £20 on a dominos deal and got an extra £2.50 £co cashback. Only issue was me falling asleep for the middle hour of the movie.

Today I am treating DH to a takeaway breakfast from a close by bakery who does 10 items for £3.40. This is comfortably covered by the hour at the nightmare client this evening. I need to balance out my life a bit better as I am squirreling my business income. I will get this after lodging a cheque to the post office. I need to get invoicing, esp the client who pays in under a week!
    Today I am grateful for
Sufficient funds to acknowledge work someone did that was over and above. I'm sourcing a bunch of flowers from a local start up.

  • It's a wonder that the nightmare manager of the nightmare client has kept his job. He sounds totally incompetent. Dealing with him must be like wading through treacle.

Hope you and OH enjoyed your takeaway breakfast today.
