You should stop swallowing the propaganda, Labour produced a costed manifesto, the Tories did not.

The independent facts are that no party did. Labour's manifesto had the largest funding gap by a clear margin running into billions. Simply taxing Corporations and the Rich more isn't enough either.

Unlike the deluded types who support Corbyn I don't swallow propaganda, I take the trouble to actually understand what's going on.

There is more than one way of understanding things and to label everyone who disagrees as deluded is in itself deluded.
Don't be fooled by his appeal to young voters, many economists also back his policies.
I'm not going to argue that he has the answers for everything, I'm not the sort of person who is loyal to any party, but to shoot him down as somehow not being credible does not wash any more and will actually bolster his support. People are starting to see through the incredible bias against him.

It's incredible how many people are taken in by the simple tactic of producing a completely meaningless "costing document" then glibly repeating that everything "is fully costed".

The newspapers & especially the TV did the public a great disservice not pointing this out at every opportunity. They allowed it to become a matter of debate when it should have been dismissed as surely as if Dianne Abbott appeared on TV & told us all that 2+2=5

Even economists hold political views. ;)

Classic case in point - over in the house buying section someone wants to let out their home and move on, but is moaning they will incur income tax. Transplant that person into a QT audience and watch them applaud lame crowd pleaser statements about tax rising to give Nurses a pay rise.

Off License next to my business is saying how a raft of new regulations such as pension enrolment, licensing of liquor wholesalers etc etc is causing costs to be passed onto customers and how they are moaning. Same principle again, people applaud seemingly well meant political sentiments until they have to cover the cost.

Everyone's all for Govt spending until they have to cough up. Corbyn would resort to taxing the masses, no way would his childish political endeavours be covered by those earning £80k

    Agree.

My hairdresser asks me for cash. My architect asks me for cash. My Corbynista sister in law got caught up in some contractor tax dodge. My kids won't pay for a TV license or their council tax.

Nobody wants to pay tax. Then they vote Labour because the public sector isn't properly funded.

Maybe when people can't get access to a doctor they should ask themselves why.

    Pay your taxes !!!!!!.

And many of those who teach tend to be sympathetic to Labour.

However to bring economists into the debate about Labour's manifesto is a red herring. You don't need to be an economist. A very basic grasp of arithmetic is more than adequate. Nobody remotely objective thinks Corbyn could have paid for even a fraction of what he was proposing to do without massively increasing debt, deficit, taxes or most likely all three.

One of the key downfalls of the Tory campaign was their failure to hammer home the point that a Corbyn Govt would lead to much higher taxes for everybody, not just for the 5%. And it certainly would have.

Material used in the cladding that covered the Grenfell Tower was the cheaper, more flammable version

Reynobond PE and FR both pass the ASTM E84 test for flame spread and smoke development at Class A (if correctly installed I presume).

My experience is very different. The types you describe all vote tory. The plumber, builder, hairdresser, boilerman etc all love 'cash in hand'. By the way those of us in the public sector who have probably voted Labour in huge numbers this month don't have that opportunity because our tax is paid before we are through PAYE.

Something for The Haters - who want to make political capital out of a disaster - to think about.
30,000 buildings in UK are covered in the same cladding as Grenfell Tower

If the economy suffers a downturn as some are expecting. Then such a message would look extremely stupid. Better to let the dust settle and people adjust over a period of time. There's been considerable belt tightening over some years the impact of which has yet to be fully seen.
