How do we know that post election May hasn't got more support in Parliament for her true, largely unspoken agenda, than she had pre election? Maybe she's more cunning than we thought!

One suspects that some of the Ministerial choices for the Cabinet weren't of her choosing. Her complacency leading up to the is now so apparent. Corbyn was given too easy a ride with regards to the manifesto. Nor was there any proper debate on the economy. When it was very apparent that matters are far from resolved.

While two recent Court judgements indicate the Govmt is in a right mess and has been acting illegally.

First a judicial review ruled that a further reduction in the Civil Service redundancy terms imposed last year was illegal because, although the law was changed from requiring Union consent to just consulting the Union to enable the last slashing of terms, the Government failed even to consult the PCS as they excluded them from talks unless they agreed to terms before the talks started.
The Government apparently defended their actions by saying including the PCS in consultation wouldn’t have made any difference to the outcome. The Judge thought that would not therefore have been much of a “consultation”.
A clear indication of how the Government defines “consultation”.:rotfl:
The other recent ruling was the ruling illegal of the disgraceful tribunal fees imposed to deter people contesting unfair dismissal or treatment. There is talk of the refund of fees that WERE paid, but my concern is the access to justice of all those who were deterred from the courts by the fees – no justice for them, sadly.
Both of these defeats are obvious imposition of justice upon imposed injustice – but they are so clear cut one can only assume the Government’s legal advisers were either rubbish or their advice was ignored. Probably the latter.
If it was the latter, then the Government were effectively breaking the law knowingly.

I was unaware of the judicial review decision on the changes to the civil service compensation scheme-thankyou.
I think most of the general public are blissfully unaware of how incompetent parts of this government are. I'm expecting similar judgements on parts of the public sector pension reforms in the months and years ahead.
