Labour takes Kensington.
Yes, Kensington.
And lose by the massive amount of 318 to 262 to the Tories.
Yes 318 to 262 to the Tories.
And go back into opposition for another 5 years.
5 more years of Corbyn & his sad Momentum activists with nothing to do but squawl from the sidelines. Meanwhile the rest of us laugh at them.

Just had a guy on Question Time claiming that the hung parliament mess is Labour's fault for taking all those votes when they couldn't win.
Why do we get so hung up about majority rule in the UK. Perhaps it'd be better if "Government" wasn't dominated by one single party. The policy making would be far more stable. Treating organisations such as the NHS like a football to be kicked around. Doesn't benefit anyone.0 -
Some of the newspapers have editorials and opinion pieces, so even if you read the news and don't completely understand what the issues are you can look there to see what everyone is talking about.
There might be a shop still open if you hurry.
Sorry, much too busy celebrating to hurry anywhere.
A glorious result that gets better by the moment. Corbyn loses & his sad little troupe of followers desperate to portray it as a victory.
Meanwhile another Tory Cabinet is being formed, ready to rule you for the next 5 years :j
All that posting you've done on social media. All for nothing. 262 miserable seats, a crushing defeat & no power whatsoever.
The champagne is flowing here   :beer:0 -

He sounds like an idiot. The hung parliament is no problem. A few deals & the Tories & the DUP will have everything sorted by Monday.
Awfully good of Corbyn to support the IRA all his life. Makes it so easy for the DUP to support the Tories & keep Labour safely out of power for another 5 years :beer:0 -
The anti Brexit parties (SNP & LibDems) did poorly.
Both Labour and the Conservatives have committed to leaving the EU and ending freedom of movement. Therefore there is a clear mandate from the voters to leave the single market.
Yes but what matters are the views of a few Tory MPs (eg Soubry) and what the DUP want.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

Shurely not? Labour has said it will support Brexit so why would the support of a few Remain MPs like Soubry matter?
Unless you're suggesting that Labour pretending to support Brexit was a desperate cynical ploy to win votes. If so that'll cost them if they try to block it.0 -

I think that hallmark is close to becoming my favourite comedy poster. It's a roaring success for their party to have their majority reduced. They've now had to get into bed with some dodgy people in order to form a government but that's a great thing.
Labour are a fair bit short of the Tory presence in Westminster but they did a heck of a lot better than almost anyone thought. Thankfully for the Labour Party the Tories elected the incredible wooden woman to lead their party and had an absolutely abysmal campaign which has ultimately cost them dearly.
May will obviously go fairly soon so who will it be leading the party into the next election? I've seen Boris' name mentioned by several people but I think that he'd also go down the route of a negative campaign and would end up being nearly as disastrous as May.0 -
I agree but the experience of minority government is that those who prop it up on key issues demand a high price for their loyalty. The minority survives by doing unpublished deals behind the scenes with those who can undermine their position. Whether its a bit of investment in particular MP's constituency or facilitating a policy of the supporting party it happens.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0

Corbyn ran a Presidential campaign. The challenge for him is find a stable shadow cabinet.
Since October 2016
4 Shadow Defence
3 Home Secretaries
2 Foreign Secretaries
3 Education
4 BEIS
3 Health
2 Work and Pension
the list goes on
