The Prime Minister, Tony Blair, justified the decision by saying "Our relationship with Saudi Arabia is vitally important for our country in terms of counter-terrorism, in terms of the broader Middle East, in terms of helping in respect of Israel and Palestine. That strategic interest comes first.
Wow, looks like your beloved Labour party took the identical attitude to the Saudis. I guess that makes your argument look pretty pathetic?0 -

Same old slandering and scaremongering.
Boring.
Technically it would be libel since it's written not spoken.
However it's neither as everything in the article is true. If it wasn't of course, Jezza would have sued and/or had it taken down. He's done neither.
Terribly inconvenient for you that Jezza has such a long & easily provable history of terrorist sympathizing.
Perhaps that's why he lost so badly :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
If we're comparing JC with TM on who is the greater supporter of terrorism, this is JC's history:
Not going to even bother giving context to those because the truth of every one of those is out there if you bothered to look.
What I will say, as an ex soldier, is that it IS a tragedy when extrajudicial killings - which includes Bin Laden and drone strikes - are carried out when there's any alternative (which there certainly was in the case of Bin Liner) because they absolutely and irrevocably undermine the principles of justice and law which I put my life on the line to defend.
You do NOT beat terrorism by allowing the other side to paint you as terrorists to people who might be convinced to sympathise with them.0 -
The irony of the Tories, having spent the last two years smearing Corbyn with lies about being a terrorist (on the occasions they aren't accusing him of being a pacifist) having to get into bed with the DUP is surreal.
The DUP - a far right political organisation that would happily inter Catholics, ban divorce and abortion, and has links to Ulster terrorism, is now rubbing its hands together at forming a coalition government with the Tories.
Former DUP leader, Peter Robinson, dressed up as some sort of soldier
https://www.opendemocracy.net/uk/adam-ramsay/so-who-are-dupTheresa May's new partners in government have strong historical links with Loyalist paramilitary groups. Specifically, the terrorist group Ulster Resistance was founded by a collection of people who went on to be prominent DUP politicians. Peter Robinson, for example, who was DUP leader and Northern Ireland’s first minister until last year, was an active member of Ulster Resistance. The group’s activities included collaborating with other terrorist groups including the Ulster Volunteer Force, to smuggle arms into the UK, such as RPG rocket launchers.
I can only wonder what the WI maams who went to bed last night expecting to wake up to a sea of blue this morning, will make of this.0 -

Relieved at the prospect of another 5 years of Tory rule I imagine.
The sad activist types on the other hand, are reduced to calling a crushing loss a win :rotfl::rotfl:
Just how low do your expectations have to be that you celebrate a heavy loss and another 5 years with no power whatsoever as a win? Pretty low haha.0 -

Yes, enjoy celebrating today. As every single other Conservative in the country looks at the moment like they lost £10,000 and found an autographed picture of Jeremy Corbyn I have provided some emojis for you to have a knees up with below:
:mad::mad::eek::eek::(:(:shocked::shocked::lipsrseal:lipsrseal:huh::huh:
:wall::wall::wall:
Oh no. Even the Tory emojis feel like jumping off a bridge today. You'll have to rejoice alone.
Sorry.0
