They intentionally killed off the peace process several times, in 1974, 1985, and they tried to stop the good Friday agreement n 1998 - extending the troubles by at least a decade, possibly 30 years.

They supported and were endorsed by loyalist paramilitaries who engaged in extended tit-for-tat killings with the IRA, in which innocents were killed on both sides.
