I think IDS is one of them, and as someone who lives in that seat I can't see that campaign being successful, its borderline whether this constituency even voted Remain, there were quite a few UKIP voters here in 2015, most of whom IDS should be able to pick up pretty easily and he is already defending a large majority, most of the seat is natural Tory territory.
UKIP aren't going to field candidates in Pro-Brexiters seats.0 -

Open Britain are campaigning to oust Brexit supporting MPs, whatever the colour of their rosette.
They have published their "hitlist" where they encourage their supporters to go and campaign in those areas.
I don't know how I feel about this. Of course it shows a degree of "engagement" but I wouldn't like people from far outside my region coming in to remove my MP. I kind of feel we should be allowed to choose MPs we believe will do a good job.
It's continuing this idea of supporting democracy as long as it's my flavour of democracy.0 -

Taking a (hopefully) objective stance, I find this crowd-funded mobilisation interesting.
It won't be the first time certain traditional political parties have been caught out by new trends.
YouTube/crowd-funding/selective targetting : why shouldn't this all lead to a highly segmented voter base?
The real players behind these trends will of course sit quietly back and scoop up when the time is ready.0 -

Pointless surely. There are more Brexit seats than Remain. He revealed 401 out of 632 MPs represent constituencies which voted for Brexit in the referendum.
The number equates to 63 per cent of constituencies

Yep despite the fact that every Remain voter trots out the sentence "I accept the result of the referendum" quicker than a racist says "a lot of my friends are black" this kind of thing proves they do nothing of the sort.0 -

I accept the result of the referendum.
But what you guys need to accept is that democracy, the right to free speech, the right to campaign etc...wasn't suspended on June the 23rd last year.
Politics is fluid, public opinion changes, life goes on. What looked like a great idea last year might look entirely different in a few years time. Get used to it.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

I happen to know one of their target seats pretty well. I've spoken to the targeted MP quite a few times.
I think I should join this Open Britain and become an internal saboteur. :rotfl:
This MP is also gay, so it would be interesting to make it a play between Brexit and the Tim Farron "gay awkward" situation.0 -

They accept it every bit as much as Leavers respected the 1975 referendum and that's just as it should be,
!!!!!! do you expect them to do? I think Brexit is a very stupid idea and will continue to argue against it. I accept the result of the referendum and fully expect Brexit to happen but if I can persuade enough people that they have made a mistake then Brexit won't happen or maybe the UK will rejoin the EU.

Official EU doctrine is that any country's voters who get the result of a referendum wrong should be asked to vote again until they get the answer right. You would hardly be a committed Remainer if you didn't follow this central tenant of democracy EU style.
IN the US they have limits on candidate's election spending which they then get around via special interest groups spending money promoting their issues - which just happen to imply that you will support one candidate rather than the other.
Isn't this crowdfunding thing rather the same - a good ruse to get round electoral funding limits.....I think....0
