  • Good evening :D

Hugs, sticks and spoons to those that need them.
Well done Valli on your weight loss - I put on 1.5lbs this week  Back on it today, and I have been good. I wonder how long that will last!

Flying has been minimal - washing up, hovering, etc. I spend the day picking up toys. I have had 3 lively boys today (1, 3 & 4) so have spent the day picking up toys and calming them down! I took them to the allotment, along with my own DS (18) to wear them out. DS and the 4 yo were doing a good job, but I needed eyes in the back of my head for the other 2!! Still, they enjoyed digging in mud :)
Bossy - I would be interested if you have any dinosaurs!!

Not much else achieved today :( I am looking forward to 4 days off!!

I am off to bed now - I am toying with getting up early and going for a run before work....... (it won't happen - I like my bed too much!) I should have run tonight, but went to Mr A's instead.
    Night night all!

    Evening all

Day 3 done and dusted. No alcohol consumed and only a minor row with DH, so I call that a success!

New school shoes and trainers bought for Small and a pair of canvas pumps ordered for Tiny, because of course, the only colour and/or design that he wanted was not in his size in store....mini meltdown and desperate bribery to at least try on the other colour to check the fit. I nearly resorted to a figure-of-four leg lock, much to the amusement of the lady with the young madam demanding pink floral shoes for school. We exchanged telepathic solidarity.

Hot chocolate with two squirts of mint syrup and cream with chocolate sugar sprinkles was required in Costa, plus promised cake bribe for the boys. Tiny gave a lady the most charming smile and giggles as she came through the door, to which she remarked what a delight he must be. If she only knew...

Went up to Wrexham to visit DH's cousin's GF and new baby and had lovely snuggles with a super smiley little chap. His brother (AKA The Destructor) trashed their living room with my two while both us mums drank tea :rotfl:

Got back home and got a desperate text from a school mum friend pleading for company so she didn't abandon her boys by the roadside. Over they came and stayed for four hours! Outdoor football, egg collecting, target practice (without said eggs) and lego building all enjoyed. Four happy lads and two smiling mummies.

DH late home again, so both boys in bed, again. He grabbed a Maccy D on the way home...we had roasted lemon and garlic chicken, with HM roast potatoes and veg, plus plum crumble and cream for pud using stewed fruit from the freezer. He is still sulking.

Showered, in bed with purring mouse-killer curled up next to me. Aaaaannndddd sleep.....oh, after researching cattery rules and regs...might be my next project....

Valli - well jel over the kitten and the herb sorting. I'm so sad.

    Night night x

Mainly work today. Delivered some staff training. Saw manager about a complicated assessment from last week. Did another assessment.
Went to dancing class this eve.
Booked a conference and hotel for June.
Tried in vain to work phone; was with Orange/EE and they sent a message wanting to give me new EE SIM card. Got it a couple of days ago and it didn't work. Rang them. Helpful chap said it would be activated in 48hrs. Noticed when I got home from work that the screen said 'inactive SIM' so I presumed number had been transferred, so put new SIM in. Got the message 'insert correct SIM'. Tried it in another ancient phone and it said 'network locked, enter password'. What password? Peeved as tomorrow is my birthday and I would have got texts.......will drive to EE shop on the way to work tomorrow and see if they can sort it. What's the betting they will say my phone is too old for the card?

    Morning all :)

Hectic day yesterday, but who cares, cos we are going on our jollibobs tomorrow! North Wales here we come! Instead of spending today packing and flying I am going to a mum chum's house for the day so her kids and mine can play together whilst we slurp tea - great minds Dizzy!

I've already been outside to tidy up the remnants of last weeks sunny weather (parasol, chairs etc all still out!) and unloaded DW. Just having a cuppa in bed whilst DD watches YouTube :o then will get up and poo pick outside

DS is with my mum so we will collect him on the way to my friends - it's been so easy with just DD here, it's very true that one's a pet, two's a zoo!

    Have fab days all xx

  • Sneaking back in again. very stressful time at the Skint Ritz atm. Everything has gone to pot as more packing up boxes, decorating and painting has been done to keep the house looking tip top for viewings but I can't decorate and keep tidy at the same time.

the young skints seem to cause a tornado the second my back is turned. yesterday yogurts in the sofa.......so all sofa cover washed and dried overnight and put back on this morning, ready for a crafty catnap while kids watch a DVD for the second time this morning.

I might make a brew and then wash the inside living room windows, as I can see sticky hand marks, before I try and tackle the laundry mountain.

hugs, sticks and spoons for all in need
The cold never bothered me anyway

Am I right that it is happy birthday, Narc0?:bdaycake:
Fingers crossed for Natty's DH to be done with the horse piddle visits.
Have lovely holidays, all those who are escaping.
Hmmm, Valli, I might need to up my game on the herb and spices cupboard. I had a bit of a clear out a while ago (probably because you told me to on a list ;) ), but I haven't got a list inside the cupboard. I think I'm jealous...

Not sure what happened yesterday. I seemed to be on the go all day, including driving here, there and everywhere. But not a lot of flying was achieved. Went out for a meeting last night, which went on a bit longer than expected, but was in a rather nice pub so not too much hardship. Apart from this morning I have to sort out the kitchen as a result of leaving DH and DD alone together. It's not that bad, but don't they know I cleaned it 2 days ago??!
So I'm going to do better today, I think....maybe. WM run and washing on the line, although I'm watching the black clouds move in. Recycling out along with dead daffs. 2 cups of tea and a hot cross bun consumed....
