re the spice list - please bear in mind this has come about because we have 3 adults living here a lot of the time, all of whom cook.

and having to trawl through the jars in response to 'Have we got...' is irritating; also some herbs/spices live elsewhere, the bay leaves and saffron are in larger jars in another cupboard, for instance, where the pulses etc are.

Good morning flyladies. Ooh Valli, how exciting, a new pet. And Dizzy, you really should write a blog or a book. Everything else, in one eye and out the other as Bossy once said, so hugs where needed.

Officially my last day in my current role today, although nothing whatsoever to do and then I'm off for three weeks, and then come back to hopefully a fresh start.

DH currently having more tests done and is longer than I expected so I'm beginning to worry, probably unnecessarily.

So today I have done the finances (not looking great as I've had to buy a new to me car because of job situation) and have quickly hoovered through. Dailies are done including first walk with the dogs, doing an errand on the route.

So next, I think I'll take inspiration from this thread. My holidays will be gardening on dry days and sorting out the cupboard of doom on rainy ones plus a few other (cheap) things I have planned.

Err, can't remember anything else sorry (in one eye... Did I really say that, lol, sounds like the sort of thing my head would come up with :rotfl:)

Been out bike hunting with DS today. Bless him. He has silly long legs and short arms, and doesn't fit anything. We did eventually find one in t0ys r us but they only had the display one. They did let him ride around the store on it lol. But they can't sell us it. So we've to wait till its back in stock. He will have to use money from his toy sales towards it though :eek::eek::eek: not :money: at all!

Just had an early dinner and we're getting ready for football now. I'm taking a coffee, a camping chair and the iPad for little miss moo, because I'm shattered! and so is she (gymnastics all day thing!)

So no flying at all, but we have a long weekend with no plans yet

Evening all. Yes Bossy, you did say that and for some reason it stuck with me.

Woohoo, time is now my own and I have sorted my herbs and put a list on the cupboard door too. Sad, sad, sad, I know.

Plans for tomorrow, subject to change:

Walk dogs twice
Go for run with DD
Dye DD's hair
Cut grass and do other gardening

Hi Skint! :wave: Sorry the house hasn't already sold; it's jolly hard work keeping it up to scratch for viewings.

Defo photos of kitten, Valli, please. I never name a cat until I've met it. It took us ages and ages to name one of them, weeks after she moved in, but we got it right in the end. Miss Moppet - one of Tom Kitten's sisters, known as Moppy for short. Pretty little thing and a right madam.

Big four day paperwork job finished (hurrah!), house looking pretty okay after I zapped around with the dosyn thingy and just as well as the local MP dropped in unexpectedly - not that we vote for him, but still. He wanted to talk about an issue between two of our neighbours that OH knows about, so I'm rather pleased the house wasn't minging.
