Have taken (a very excited) DD to meet the kitten.

    Done a maidenful of ironing.

Been to get my hooves trimmed. Took boots and shoes to cobblers. Was quoted £20 to have boots repaired. Have brought them home.

Marked a whole batch of test papers and input results into spreadsheet.

    Updated bank account details.

Ploughing through recepts now, and shredding some.

Thanks for birthday wishes - it made up for not getting any texts as ££ are still faffing about with my phone tariff.....spent half an hour in the ££ shop today speaking to 2 members of staff and another they got on the phone (who had such a delightful but incomprehensible Belfast accent that, quite frankly, he could have been saying anything).......then went to uni.....went on the web site directed by the shop.....answered lots of questions and directed to another phone line. Spoke to 3 more staff. I may get my SIM card unlocked within 3 days....oh it's Easter...3-5 days. Several of them said they would send me a text when sorted BUT HOW DO I RECEIVE A TEXT ON A LOCKED PHONE????

Oh well. Had lots of nice cards, necklace from Mr N, earrings from his mum, and came home to a lovely steak dinner he cooked. Actually the day started with the wood he'd ordered to build a pergola over Easter being delivered - but the wrong size!

Collect lilies from florist tomorrow to do my usual church Easter arrangement, so send me some creative vibes!
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

    Happy Birthday Narc0!

Back home, tired after lots of driving, but we've had a very good time.
    WMx2 done, another in.
    Suitcases emptied and put away.
Lots of new plants to plant :D
Lots of lbs to declutter
DH is playing trains tomorrow and Saturday and Monday so I shall be taxiing :(
I plan to start doing some proper flying on Saturday... Tomorrow I need to shop, as both fridges are bare.

Well done Jazee on taking the plunge and good luck with your job hunting.
    Fingers crossed for Skinty.

Happy birthday Narc0lepsy :bdaycake: - hope you've had a lovely day!

Day 4 of the Dizzyland Easter break has passed in a relatively peaceful way with only minor spates of conflict between the boys, one involving the deliberate destruction of a lego model, followed up with the attempted flushing of a prized bath toy down the loo in retaliation :rotfl:

The l-o-n-g dreaded visit to Aldi to restock the fruit bowl and vegetable rack was only mildly stressful in comparison with other recent shopping trips. Tiny packed the crisps, cat food and cream in his bag, while Small ensured the Haribo sweets, toffee ice-cream and one raspberry yogurt went into his. Mummy got a double hernia lifting it all into the van, so, much to their enormous delight, when we got home, I drove the van down the drive, through into the paddock, across the field and right up to the caravan steps to unload.

The van is now muddy with grass stuck in the tyre treads...and I have sparked an interest in rallycar driving ;)

Tiny managed to "lock" himself and one of the cats in the dog crate on purpose, so the poor feline was trapped and unable to resist his, ahem, gentle [STRIKE]headlock[/STRIKE], petting. He actually shrieked at me when I went to flick open the catch!

Wonder upon wonder, DH left work on time and is not planning on going to work until Tuesday  Will he be able to resist?

Easter egg hunt at a nearby NT castleblooking unlikely tomorrow as both boys have developed a red rash over their bodies and bright cheeks today, although neither have complained of feeling unwell. Any ideas?

Just watched the last of the three programmes about the Galapagos islands, which was amazing. I found myself coo-ing over a baby shark

I did clean the bathroom today, although DH has just showered, so it probably looks like I didn't bother! That, however, is the extent of my flying (unless you count watching Scooby Doo?)

    Laters x

Oh, I got serious herb-cupboard envy...I now have a list detailling the 47 different jars of dried delights that are in my drawer. I haven't catalogued the flavoured salts yet...I blame you Valli...

Sorry I missed your birthday Narc0lepsy Hope the day wasn't too stressful.

My Easter changed abruptly at 0130. DH (due to finish at 2100) saying he was in ER after a high risk exposure. Retrovirals and all that malarkey for 3 months here we come:mad:

    He arrived home at 0500.

We were supposed to be going to Capenwray diving at 0700 ( my new suit arrived) and to stay in Ulverston tonight. He's still asleep and I'm going to the gym. We'll reassess when I get back and when he wakes up.

Last weekend we were on to Plan D by the middle of Sunday. It will be interesting to see where we end up by Monday evening:rotfl: And whether I'm still able to laugh about it. (If it all goes to pot I can always inventory the spice cupboard)

    Have a great Easter everyone.

    Morning,

Lazy start here. Kiddies watching the g00nies in bed eating dry cereal :p I have coffee and my iPad, piggies fed but left in hutch (rain) and we are in no rush to do anything today.

Today's toy sorting will be wooden railway stuff - of which he has a huge flexitub! Should be fun!

Might also do some ironing. You know, that stuff on the DR chair I had planned to do in the beginning of the holidays :o mine go back to school on Monday.

Which reminds me, DS has some homework to finish (so do I).

    Oops. Best laid plans...

  • Good morning :D

Lazy start this morning.... I have had breakfast, stuck a beef joint in the slow cooker and squirted some toilet cleaner in the loo.
Today's plan: digging at the allotment (I have so much to do, as it is still 60% grass!); visit to garden centre to buy some flowers for the front garden and cooking a roast (DH will probably do most of that). MIL & SIL are coming over for dinner later, after DS has finished work.

I am going to get myself ready for digging, after cleaning the downstairs toilet so I can cross at least one thing off my list!

This weekend I plan to do some sewing as well :) I reclaimed my sewing machine 2 years ago from my sister that I hadn't seen for about 20 years! (the sewing machine, not my sister) I got it serviced, and then that was it!! I have bought some material from fleabay, and I want to make some superhero capes for the boys - should be simple enough (I hope!!)

    Have a good day everyone!

    Good morning everyone.
Lazyish day planned / hoped for today. DH off early to FiL to do his shopping and mend whatever has broken this week. DD just surfacing, having declared that she was not doing ANYTHING today, after 3 days of boot camp at the stables. I've been for a run, past the bluebell woods which are just getting into colour here. Having a quick coffe and a sneaky biscuit while deciding what I ought to do. I should go to the allotment (Goodintentions, half of mine is also grass covered and not been dug for 4 years!) but it is so dry that the back breaking work is not appealing right this moment.
**sigh** nothing for it - herb and spice cupboard list it is :rotfl:
