Well done on the 2lb, Valli, and I'm very pleased to see that your dad is doing well.
(((Hugs))) to Natty, Dizzy and anyone else in need.

We are still away from home - currently at my DD's on grandparent duties. Today I did 2 lots of flying and crossed something off my bucket list when we went to the Isle of Wight and back by hovercraft :D

Had a wonderful surprise yesterday evening when an email landed from a friend in Germany who 3 years ago asked me not to contact her again. Turns out that her OH (now ex-OH) had been spreading malicious lies about me, probably because I refused to carry on translating for the agency he owned after I had married DH. Now hoping that I can visit them when I'm over there in May. Her younger son is one of my godchildren.

Early night for me tonight after a busy day...

Day 2 in Dizzyland....survived with courage and determination...

Cleared up the googly remains of three mice and a shrew left on the doorstep by the cats as a present for Mummy_pale_

Extracted a bee sting from Small's neck and then spent the next hour soothing a howling five year old.

Plaster applied to stick injury on Tiny's hand. Star Wars has much to answer for...

Discovered the drain supposedly taking away the washing machine water is blocked. Water overflowing onto the patio area and mixing nicely with all the brick and lime dust to create a slippery kind of slurry.

DH late home and has already left for work...boys haven't seen him for two days now.

Sane, HB...? Who says I'm sane :rotfl:

I've run out of fresh fruit, bread and milk, which means a trip to the shops. With small people. Flak jacket on. And my big girl pants...

Good news about your German friend Iona. Got some catching up to do now!

Our vets won't prescribe human medication for our mutley Duckydo, but his seizures are not as bad or as common as before, so I'll take that.

    Hugs all round xxxxx

ETA - I did do an hour of ironing yesterday. Total sum of flying.

Morning all. Hope day 3 goes ok Dizzy, and well done on the weight loss Valli. Hugs to anyone who needs them.

So, thankyou for the list, I have been lurking, but more fluttering than flying. About to look at the list for the first time this week.

So far this morning, I've been for a run, fed me and the dogs and done the ironing.

    Have a great day everyone.

Off out for a coffee with a couple of colleagues shortly, then into work to tidy

    Morning,

Quite tidy here (until kids get back!) but I'm refusing to mop the floors until the holidays are over - although I will do the bathroom ones.

Taken delivery of groceries and put away, and had started some studying - making a transcript of a counselling session and annotating as I go. My typing is not brilliant... Thankfully it was a short-ish one. Funny to hear my own voice though, lol.

I took 3 boxes of toys to Barnardos yesterday, they were so helpful and came out to my car to carry, and even though one wasn't boxed, they were very grateful and friendly. It was a donation centre but they had a bit of a shop front so people were in browsing and I could see quite a few volunteers in the back sorting through donations :) I'm pleased they can make some money out of it, and even more pleased they are out of my conservatory!

I also popped to the w!lko next door for a pot of cupr!nol - I had the green but needed cream for the doors and window boxes.

Aarrghh - just remembered I didn't wash out the brush! Off I go!

  • Morning All (oh just realised its not morning)

Argh, I need to fly! What have I done this morning? Nothing (except put the WM on).
Need a kick up the bottom please!

Dizzy I'm amazed at your resilience, have you thought of writing a blog? It would be an inspiration! Hope the holidays get better not worse.

Bossy I gave up fleabaying ages ago, and give unwanted stuff to our local hospice shop. I found it very time consuming and stressful.

So, I dropped off the girls at the stables this morning for "pony day" (they were nearly dying with excitement) and planned to just get loads done. I still have not started, although have drunk much coffee. Now it's lunchtime!

Really, I'm going to straighten up downstairs and put some laundry away before I touch any food.

Kids home. They need a wash - how??? They went swimming this morning! How do they get dirty sat in a car on the drive home??? And the DR table is covered in Easter crafts - DD has made cards while we put together a sort of headband / bonnet / fascinator for a last minute Easter bonnet competition at gymnastics tomorrow.

Meat not defrosted so we'll have that tomorrow and something else tonight.

I think I'm sorted with my blinds, although I don't have a full price yet.

Herb and spice list updated. I keep it on the inside of the cupboard door of the cupboard in which most, but not all, of them live. This is for a quick 'have I got...' check rather than buying again, which has happened before. Given I have OVER 30 (!) this is a must to keep updated.
(I have never counted them before. The Bay leaves I have are foraged and dried by me! Very MSE!)
Been to Post Office to post 3 letters and to buy stamps. Even though it is raining (a bit) I walked.
I have printed out my shoe pictures.
