Evening all
Hugs to Anniebooklover, scuzz, pp & the shuffs, Glad you had good news Redruby, Happy birthday Essexg's DS & Moiliers mum.
Mrs Mix, it arrived today, unfortunately there is a postal strike from Monday to Wednesday, so not sure when it will arrive with you.
Charlies mum, my avatar is a pic of all the scarves knitted for Christmas, when I told my DD is was writing a blog, she said, 'Good God mother, don't leave DGS pic as your avatar, I'll never live it down if someone recognises him' She was joking, but she has a point, so I changed the pic. Heaven knows what the Ex will say if he finds out!!!.
Hugs Hester

Anniestar...............if I had a spare bedroom you would be very welcome, but in our little apartment you would be sleeping on the floor....mind you you could stay in the guest room for a couple of nights..........No veg eaten today, I had some corned beef left so made stovies tonight, its a good job we only have them occasionally, they are LOADED with fat.......delicious but awful bad if you have high cholesterol!!!!!
Went to see my friend, had to sort out travel insurance for her trip, she had forgotten about it............thankfully we managed to sort it out between us.
Not much achieved really today, I did manage to wash the cover from the settee I spilt tea on last night and also a load of darks, ironed 5 white shirts for OH ready for tomorrow, thankfully the season finishes in a couple of weeks.......................
I slept quite well last night, having had a couple of glasses of a very nice white wine I could sleep now......but better stay awake....want to sleep later. The seditol will take a couple of weeks max to kick in...........Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Evening all,
friday at last! 4 day weeks shouldn't feel so long but they do
Cold and damp here for most of the week, which has made mornings less than fun. Work has alternated between 'rushed off my feet' and 'no-one in'. I'm getting a bit more sleep than I was at the start of the week though, which is making me happier.
OS wise, it's been just the usual cooking/WM/TD stuff. Need the ground to dry out a bit so we can get the grass cut - hopefully tomorrow morning. Haven't had my tea yet, but starting to get a bit hungry so it might just have to be some cheese on toast which sounds appealling right about now
Hopefully we will be going to twinks house this weekend so we can see kyle and family before they jet off to sunnier climes (lucky them!). Car boot sale also on on sunday, and I haven't managed to get to many of them so will have the morning out with twink who will keep me away from the burger and bacon roll stand
Many many *hugs* to all who need them (but please don't pass back any germs - I've plenty of my own thanks!0 -
Hello all
Got involved in a thread on another board today and the poor person facing eviction. AnnieS - I think you went there this afternoon too.
Happy birthday to a Mum, sons etc.
Just want to say to Red R - so glad you are OK. Shuffs - hope you are OK.
PennyP - hope hosptial visit OK and enjoy the wedding tomorrow. Support your family as she is going through a difficult time as are the children.
Mrs Mac - you are a wonderwoman. Did mention you on a thread here a wee bit earlier.
Sorry now quite tired (being Friday and have had my G+T) - over and out almost unless anything significant comes on.
By the way - did anyone watch the One Show - isn't Margaitte Patten (spelling) and I have some of her recipe books. Wonderful and does sound like an OS lady!!
Off to the airport tomorrow to pick up DS who is over for a stag. We are going to see DS, SIL and DGS for an hour at 8.30 tomorrow (if flight on time). DS will dip in and out over the weekend as needs must - he is staying with a pal on Saturday night and having a Sunday dinner with us. Just hope his homing instincts don't kick in and we have him rolling home at 4.00 in the morning!
Love and hugs to all and hope those of you with health issues OK, feeling low OK or celebrating having a good time.
Love

Good Evening,
Happy Birthday if required
:grouphug: - where needed or wanted
I've had a busy day today, had to pick mum up from the garage as her car was in for it's MOT. Went into town to get my car tax, had a wander round looking for a warmer clothes for DD bought a lovely one in Matalan it has ears on the hood and the feet! Also dropped my meat order off at the butchers, it will be ready next week.
When DH got home from work the dog had pulled the curtain baton out of the wall and ripped a hole in the curtain! (not for the first time) so DH and mum spent 2 hours repairing the damage.
I made a stew for tea in my new casserole pot from Aldi, with dumplings it was so nice I had seconds! I'm just waiting for it to cool then it can go in the freezer.
Need to make a meal plan for the next week and prepare the shopping list, it will probably be tomorrow afternoon that we go as I'm having my hair cut in the morning - trying a mobile one as my last cut at a salon was £33! My mum and niece are also coming.
MDWProud to be dealing with my debts
DD Katie born April 2007!
3 years 9 months and proud of it
dreams do come true (eventually!)0 -
Made pea soup in the slow cooker as DH complained it had "caught" when I cooked some yesterday on the hob.
Sharon59 is very kindly sending me a measuring cup for my MR Fastbake - this will be stored IN the breadmaker so no one can "tidy it away" or "lose" it!
Go DD a new pair of shoes when we went to tesco this afternoon and some thicker tights for her now it is getting colder.
Central heating is on and enjoying not being cold.
Glad to hear the good news from redruby about her health and hugs to everyone under the weather.
Tring to ward off a cold by glugging down home made elderberry extract so fingers crossed.
Happy Birthday :bdaycake:"This site is addictive!"

Hi
Anyway bought beef anyway ( half price in Somerfield) and then returned home to find OH had fallen off his ladder!!!!! ( I think he will be going back to the world of work on Monday !!! ) He is over 6' tall but said he was in so much pain he sat in the garden and cried. He wished I had been here but I would have been hopeless - hate blood and would have just insisted he went to A&e. Any way he spilt the wood stain he was using all over his head and has had to use Turps to get it out---- no getting close tonight then!!!:rotfl:
oh I am sorry but this did make me laugh :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: not the bit about him crying, but the fact that the wood stain landed on his head, still giggiling now, turps eh ? don't go any where near him with a naked flame tonight:rotfl: . I do hope he is ok, though give him my best xx
Just wanted to say thanks to you all again, you have all been fab today, I really appreciate it.
Happy birthday to those celebrating, and hugs to those feeling unwell, going to have a glass of wine now to celebrate
