Just getting ready for work with leggings on under trousers as it's sooooooo cold. Just phoned middle dd to make sure she's up in time to take little dd to school. They are going to get swish new haircuts this afternoon and have a lovely girly time. I've jut realised thatI'm double booked tonight - a poetry thing at the bbc and a leaving party for a bloke who left last week. Am feeling a bit coldy though - did you sneeze on me Mrs mix? - so I'll see how it goes. Exoh is phoning later as it seems he has messed up the weekend again - if he's cancelling Daddy Weekend again dd will be upset and i'll have to live with her - grrrrrr!
well off to w*rk - have a good day allI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -

mioliere Happy birthday to your DMum.
Happy Birthday too to Essex-girl's DS.
Twink an early post for you today. Is it too cold to sleep up there?
mrs mix I'll join you in feeling miserable if that's ok. I have had a streaming cold for a couple of days now. Glad it's almost the weekend.
((((hugs)))) to all who need/want one.
:hello: to all who are missing in action. Come back soon please.
Well, have pretty much decided that I'm going to resign from job No 2. Still really p**d off with boss so don't see any point in staying. Just need to make sure I can find a replacement for the lost 4 hours before I finish. So, the hunt starts today.
At job No 1 today - the good boss will no doubt have a chat with me to make sure that I'm not going to quit and leave him in the lurch too. Would never dream of doing that to him - he's such a good boss to work for/with.
After that, quick nip to the supermarket to buy some goodies for the weekend of rugby and then DS, DD and I will settle down for a cosy night in.
Dinner will be something from the freezer as yesterday's palaver has left me feeling quite down again and I don't feel like cooking from scratch.
Hope Friday is good to you all. xxx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Morning all
I sound really sick. Very heavily bunged up, so I sound hilarious on air!
Filled up with petrol yesterday saved £1.55. Petrols meant to smash the £1/litre on Monday so fill up this weekend.
Will be here forever today, as I've loads to do. Working at the speedway tomorrow night, then back here Sunday. But I'm off all next week, which is good.
I feel ready to walk out of here today, nothing is working.
Got to get car tax today and pay some pin money into my savings account.
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

Well good luck to all those with hospital appointments today.... sis got home on wednesday, but has to go back today to have all 38 staples removed:eek: .. so anyone who hears strange noises in the nottinghamshire area...don't worry - it will be her :rotfl: . They are trying to rush through her results for today...apparently the doc who dealt with her has never seen a "mass" like it in 30 years  .. we always have to have something different in our family:p, but she sounds so much better than she has in ages...just a bit tired.. so fingers crossed for good news.
Well its HM steak n mushroom pie for dinner tonight- just removed the portions from the freezer - and even remembered to take it off the list i have on the PC :T ....
Think todays jobs will be a quick whizz around with the vaccume, quick swish in the bathroom and a quick threaten with the mop...and thats me done:j
Well i had better get on with something..... hope everyone has a good day..hugs to all-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

frogga the croc bread is amazing. You are sooo talented! Looks like there may be a few attempts made by the OSers to see if they can make them. Look forward to the results.
scuzz hope you feel better. A working day feels as long as a working week when you feel rubbish, doesn't it? ((hugs))
Bye (again)

Morning all,
Haven't posted for ages but do lurk everyday.
I am off today with a bad foot, dreading phoning in this morning as another colleague is off sick as well, but doctors orders and I did aggravate the injury at work yesterday and it was entered in the accident book, but why do I feel so guilty
Most of the day will be spent sitting down with my leg elevated, but in between I will be pottering 1 load in the WM, another 2 to go on, and the house is tidy.
Not much planned for the weekend as my foot has sorted that out:rolleyes:
So lots of chilling out with DH and DD.
Have a good day and hugs to all those that are suffering. Off to do the dreaded phone call wish me luck!!

Hello everyone,
Been doing a bit of baking today. Made a cake & cheesecake for dessert tonight. Although DH has just come home and suggested we have tea at the Bowling Club (without a green). There's about 3 things on their menu, luckily we eat fish so that's sorted. So we'll have dessert when we get home.
Also started knitting and discovered I bought the wrong cotton. So that was a waste of time.
Happy Birthday to those celebrating.
Ruby Good luck.
(((hugs))) to those poorly
Annie I would look elsewhere too. What a jerk.
Twink Well you can be sooooo crabbit you know.A wee scot's word.
Shandypants
Well off to water and fill up the bird bath and then get ready to go out. Hope you all have a lovely day. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Good morning, we all overslept today (why does my son always sleep in on Friday and then rise with the lark on Saturday and Sunday???). But managed to get the children off in time to have their breakfast at school. Am now pottering, will get dressed and go to work shortly. It's been a long week, absolute chaos with new students and I still don't know how many tutorial groups I will have on Tuesday!
Had some good OS moments this week and some not so good. I made too much chilli last night so we have another meal stashed in the fridge ... but didn't do that with the pasta bake earlier in the week and ended up having to throw it away. Moral: don't think 'i'll have it tomorrow' unless you mean it. And definitely don't think that two mornings in a row when it glares at you from the fridge.
I've not been good about lunches this week, and have been having the work cooked meal. But it is expensive - over £3 if I have veggies as they have started charging extra. I would take sandwiches or whatever but there is nowhere comfortable to eat them - basically it means eating at my desk, and we tend to do a lot of networking with other staff over lunch. So I'm thinking that I will do work lunch on teaching days (Tues, Wed, Thurs) and stay home on Monday and Friday, and have a cheap home-made lunch those days.
Was going to have chops tonight but when I went to get them out of the freezer, it turned out that we don't have any chops after all. So I've defrosted some chicken goujons and potato croquettes that I got cheap. But I suspect DH will ask for curry.Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000
